How things have changed, when I joined a large construction company in the 90s, They asked if i had ever been in trouble with the Police. I said no. they asked me to explain a caution for being on railway sidings in 1974 when I was 14. I found out later the head of security was an ex detective, and prob had a word with a colleague still serving. Its very sloppy for everybody to allow this CV enhancement to go unchallenged in such an important role.

All that's needed is for an opposition MP to ask her about it in the Commons. If she confirms she was an economist at Lloyds in the chamber and this allegation is true she will be in breach of the Ministerial Code and must resign from the cabinet. If she refuses to answer the question the matter would be passed to the Parliamentary Standards Committee and if that finds against her she must resign.

Also had her Parliamentary credit card suspended when Parliamentary Standards Authority found she had just over £4k in unsubstantiated spending. Amongst some of the [preesumably legitimate] expense claims she has filed over the years includes £1.2k for professionals to help filling in her tax returns... Having worked in banking for decades I came to the conclusion lying was part of the job.As one example many claimed customers loved dealing with them and frequently thanked them for the excellent service they provided. In reality many customers refused to see them as they couldn't stand them. Others claimed to be working every night at the branch till 8pm, when in fact they were home at 6pm. The lies and false claims depressed me !
