Mower Deck Rebuild - Spindle and Pulley Replacement - No Power Tools

This Craftsman LT4000 is a work in progress butt this video concentrates on replacing a worn out spindle on this 42" Mower Deck. Dropping the mower deck involves removing a bunch of Cotter Pins and sliding it out. Aside from breaking one of the bolts holding it on I was able to remove the old part fairly easily using basic tools.

From my experience when you have a stuck bolt , try tightening it. SOMETIMES it breaks the threads free and allows you to loosen it without breaking 😁

If I ever bought a new mower from a dealer, I would insist that they remove and lube the PTO pulley
