Man that thing is a beast! I’ve been holding on to the stuff that’s over 20 years old.👍

A tip with this kind of machine... When you pull the rope, pull the rope quickly don't let then engine stop, keep pulling it since it so heavy to pull, it will start better, and easier on you.

14:31 just your luck, Rain. been getting alot where I am down south. I just got a 50 year old Craftsman Eager1 Tecumseh lawnmower I used as a Kid going. father was cleaning out house. so I asked if I could have it. and you know what they say, they don't make them like they use to. this thng is 50 years old , no primer no choke starts on 1 pull. with points ignition. I just had to do a quick and dirty clean of carb, and I sand the points for good measure and I found the plug in it wasn't the right one. but I found cross reference to a NGK plug of what should be on it. (go figure , the plug also its American cars of 50s , 60s and 70s) Vid will be out 8/31/2024

Oh that rain!! 🌧️ If I didn’t know any better I’d say you were here in Vancouver! Curious what are you using for new fuel line? Happen to have a link on generic tubing you’d recommend?

It’s got a kill wire coming off the coil, must be going to a stop switch or interlock somewhere.

Haven't seen a carburetor that bad in a couple years. Usually if they aren't corroded to bad i can usually be able to save them

Bro please remember, that starter isn't 12v...its 120v, bring the extention cord inside, and please remember to unplug the starter b4 messing with it.

225? Henry you're a nut! I sold one like that last spring for 30 bucks and felt bad afterwards because it was trying to blow itself up just like that one LOL. BTW you might get more money believe it or not if you try to sell just the engine with shipping. A Tecumseh with muffler on the rear next to the carb is sought by people restoring old minibikes. Most were made with the muffler on the side. Ask me how I know!

I’ve sold them from $200-$375. I traded this one for a backpack blower. Transaction video will be in future episode.

225? You're a nut! I sold a similar one for 30 bucks last spring. I still a little bad because it ran like yours, trying to blow itself apart. BTW you might get more money by selling the engine with shipping. The configuration of muffler and carb side by side is desirable to old minibike restorers. Most were made with the muffler on the side.
