Great video. I have a similar situation regarding water management on my property. An item they’re using more often for erosion control in Northern Kentucky are the large 2 ton concrete blocks. Some states have water management planning committees that can help with the expense if the watershed from your property enters a state or federal river system. Looks like your friend has a significant water flow given the erosion and culvert size.

The sickle bar mower is as old as time. As a young boy in E. Tn there was a hay pasture across the road from us. The old man that had it cut the hay with a pair of big Mules and a ride on cutter. He also had a hay wagon horse drawn they pitched the dried hay onto, also driven by the 2 Mules. This was in the late 50's early 60's. He never said anything to me, just talked to the Mules with a Gee and a Haw or Whoa, Gidyup.

Tractor Time with Tim Toro is on the stock market and that being said, quarter results is all that matters to Toros CEO. Profit is the only thing that matters now. So if Ventrac doesn’t meet Toro’s magic number (whatever that is) they will cut employees, make the unit cheaper, sell Ventrac to somebody else, or dissolve Ventrac. Look at what they did to Exmark...there pro series zero turn is Exmark. Toro slapped Exmark on Toro and jacked the price. Totally different when you have a fiduciary responsibility to your investors.

Hi Tim, great video, is your Ventrac the Diesel or gas and which engine did you get? And why did you get it? Thank you
@TractorTimewithTim4 жыл бұрын
I have had 3 engines I. 3 different Vinny’s so far. 31hp Kawasaki, Kubota diesel, and finally Kubota gas. I think the diesel is a bit underpowered. The Kawasaki is a great value. Only weakness is that it doesn’t have much power at low rpm. Rev up the throttle and it is great. The Kubota has is clearly the premium engine. Most power...but drinks the most fuel (did not explicitly test, but it seems to use more fuel). I hope that helps.
