That was a restoration cleanup and you did a good job. From the boxwood overhanging the front walk, the condition of the sidewalk and gutters, basic work has not been done for a while. Great job. Kudos for the help you gave the elderly couple. My maintenance man told my landlord he wasn't coming back anymore after the wife simply said "thanks for calling to let us know you'd be 6 hours late...husband had to cancel doctors visit over this bullshit" Thin skinned idiot thought leaving us older folks in limbo was cool. BTW, the landlord could not reach him by phone either that day.

Man that’s why I bought a Honda. Dual blade mulching technology and second to none results. A commercial mower would have made a mess of that place and you’d have had no choice but to rake and bag. Good job on the lawn and good choice in equipment.

Most State don't require a business license for lawn care or at least in my state it doesn't Any person off the street could grab a mower and weed eater and go mow someone's yard for cash But yes that person should definitely be prosecuted for lying & stealing the person's money without doing a service

Legally speaking, what the lawn care guy did is fraud and conspiracy to commit fraud. Whether he will be charge only once for the crime (assuming the owners wish to press charges) or an account for each time he charged the owners money will have to be decided in court. And depending on the jurisdiction, some places add additional charges against those who commit crimes against the elderly. Best case scenario, the lawn care guy they "hired" immediately gives back the money and then some for the hassle, or they will be forced to press charges to get the money back. Whether the owners wish to pursue that option is up to them. My advice (I am not a lawyer), is to press charges and get that scammer off the streets at least. Getting the money back would be a bonus on top.

They lawn may or may not have been mowed a month or so ago but that sidewalk did not grow like that in 2 months. That takes a year or more for the sidewalk to shrink as weeds and dirt fill it up. Good job. I hope they hire you in the future. The former lawn care guys need prosecuted for stealing from this elderly couple. I've been ripped off before and there's not much you can do when they are broke. But you can still get their name out there and post on facebook to ruin them from cheating someone else.
