*My yard consists of roughly 3.5 acres of "mowable" area with several small hills **Bestfor.Garden** also recommend and valleys and tree-beds scattered throughout. Not only did the mower do a great job, but at the end of cutting the entire lawn, I STILL had 35% left on the battery.*

I expect this mower will last several seasons with decent care. kzbin.infoUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend Also, I ran across the problem with it not starting the 2nd time I used it. There is a safety switch which is pushed in by the chute or mulching piece being attached to the deck. I took the cover off and it wouldn't start. Put it back on, no problem. It takes only a minute with 2 easily accessible wingnuts and no tools. This mower starts up first crank each time and it is a joy to use. It also mows in reverse by putting the key to the reverse area after starting and pushing in the triangular button. It will stay in reverse mode until you turn it off. All in all, for my homeowner needs, I really like this mower-and at 70 bucks a cut here in Miami, it's already more than 1/3 paid for itself in a month.

One Thanksgiving my lawn looked almost this bad and I was out there trying to mow it. The neighbor lady from across the street comes walking over to me carrying a big plate piled high with turkey, dressing, and mashed potatoes all smothered in gravy. She said she had some extra left overs but I know it was partly a "Thank you for finally mowing this eye sore" but mostly she was trying to train me, like you would a dog with a tasty treat. Good job, Great mower. Thanks for the video.

Why would you change the throttle position based on grass height? I think you're supposed to keep it wide open all the time when mowing. No? I have a Toro 455D, a Jacobsen 628D and a gas Husquvarna, the all run at full throttle. Is yours different, or am I ruining mine?
@Something2LookAt5 жыл бұрын
It's an endless debate. You're not going to find an engine manual that tells you that you must run it at full throttle all the time. But you will find many equipment owners who say it. I don't know where they got it from. I made it all the way through small engine repair school and that type of thing was never stated as a fact or necessity. If you're just cutting an inch off the top, there's no reason to go through all that gas. You can throttle down. I've been cutting grass for a living for 30 years and I never blew a motor, even running at low throttle. I've got a 17 hp Snapper still in service and running great, original motor, 22 years old, constantly run at low rpms but revved up as the grass gets thicker. The full throttle all the time thing is a myth.

@@Something2LookAt Yea I like it a lot. It's a 36. There are options for bigger decks. I don't know what velocity decks are but mine has a kick peddle on the right and I can adjust the height with medal pin that goes in a hole. Looks like about 12 holes or so. Really nimble 36 in with 18 hp Kawasaki. I've worked some really tall grass at eye level as I sit on the machine. Got a 15% discount from scag with the first responder program for police, fire, military.
@Something2LookAt5 жыл бұрын
Oh, very cool. Yea you'd really be able to get everywhere with a 36. The Velocity deck would say Velocity right on the front of it. Basically the deck with the tapered front and baffle room up there to allow high grass to get to the blades without just folding over and getting missed. 18 hp is strong for a 36. That must be a fun mower!

@Something2LookAt5 жыл бұрын
You know what? NOTHING has broke on that mower. It's a 2012, I think it's about 1800 hours. You can get about 3500 hrs off an engine if you keep it up well. I'd say that my 21 year old Snapper has more than 3500 on it's original 500V Kawasaki engine, and I just mowed with it on Friday. Still mows nice and smooth. I did blow up the Great Dane's original engine though, so I'm not always so lucky. :)
