I agree about the dog barking. Truly one of the most annoying things to listen to. I had the same problem with my neighbors dog. I bought a high frequency sound tone device on a solar panel and installed it on the fence. It turns on when a dog barks and humans can’t hear it. Dogs can and it makes them stop barking. Worked like a charm. For $100 it was well worth it.

For the bare spots, my habit has been to use some type of soil probe to see if there is some subsurface obstruction that prevents growth. My next step is to liberally soak the area with RGS and Humic 12. So far that process hasn’t failed me. But, I’m dealing with warm season turf and that might make a difference. Might try carrying some dog treats when you go out to mow. He might just be trying to get some attention.

Hello brother, Looks like your turf is coming along. Regarding your neighbor's barking dogs, I had the same issue. The constant barking was becoming a serious problem for me and after some research I purchased the dog silencer Max manufactured by The Good Life. It is an ultrasonic deterrent that has returned my peace and quiet and sanity outside of my house. I recommend purchasing it with the remote control and the wall outlet power cord so you don't have to fool around with batteries or the solar option. Good luck brother!

What's the distance on that thing? I have a battery powered one that obviously doesn't shoot more than about 10 or 15 ft I think. There was a dog a while ago that would bark a lot, but Maggie doesn't bark much anymore. She's a little older.. Roughly how much was the unit?
@arthurdurham44512 жыл бұрын
@@matthewimi the distance is advertised at 300 ft. I purchased it about a year ago and I believe I paid about $150 for it plus an extra $25 for the electrical outlet option. It needs to be installed in line of sight of the dog. It is an ultrasonic deterrent which only the dog can hear. It detects the dog barking and activates however I would also recommend purchasing the unit with the remote control so that you can activate the unit whenever you want. I noticed a difference immediately and after a few weeks of using it the dog barking has pretty much gone to zero. He starts barking and I activate the unit and he quits within a few minutes. Definitely worth the money!

@@GCITurf I had to walk on it while it was wet while the grass was just coming in, because the wind blew a few things on the lawn. Every where I stepped, the baby grass got layed down. So you think they will stand back up or did I already ruin everything I walked on?
@Dsaubt2 жыл бұрын
@@mustafaalbouali how tall is the rest of the grass and how many days since seed went down? I cut my overseeded rye at 16 days because my other grass was at 6 inches, but I used a light mower and went very slow and flat footed with flat shoes.
