I can't imagine the filth in those peoples home if they live like that. You truly did a $1,000 yard clean up with all that work. You are a very good person. Also, knowing you were doing that, I can't believe no one went out when you were gone and tried to clean up their own yard so all you had to do was mow. In three months, it would be funny to see if they bothered to keep that yard up.

You did an EXCELLENT job on this property! If the neighbors didn't stop by with cool drinks every day you worked there they should be ashamed of themselves. I have worked on properties where there is layer upon layer of "issues" and it's usually not caused by one person, but a series of people or family groups over a period of time that just gets buried over and over as the residents get overwhelmed and give up. I don't believe in making excuses for others, but it doesn't help to shame and blame -- just go forward and try to do better one day at a time.

I am very very proud of you for your bravery tackling this enormous job. Well done you. You brought back dignity to these home owners by making this yard space safer. If it's rubbish, toss it. As you said, none of us should judge, we don't know what's going on in their world. I used to keep house pretty well, even with my own kids and fosters but then I got sick. I have RA and now it is very hard to maintain my former standards. One might think I'm gross or don't care but I cannot physically do certain things anymore like squat down to clean baseboards. Now, they get the duster run over them to keep dust off but I can't wash them. I am proud to watch you and your family should be proud as well. If you have children sir, you are setting a great example. Doing things like this for others allows one to look in the mirror, look one's self in the eye and know, I did good today.
@MrStv11632 жыл бұрын
I would agree with that to a POINT - but getting sick or having a disability isn't an excuse to throw trash and decomposing food/waste into your yard or allow it to become overrun with animal feces. This individual appears to have the wherewithal to hang clothes on the line to dry, but cannot at the same time at least throw trash in the bin? It also creates a rodent & insect hazard and can affect the neighbors, not to mention their homes' sellability and overall neighborhood health.
@sandravanlankvelt79752 жыл бұрын
I have RA plus a total replacement of a knee cap and joint on my right leg. But after recovery I still trim bushes, pull weeds, trim trees, and it is important to me to keep a nice home and yard. We have three finished levels in our home and four baths to keep clean and I do it in segments timewise so as not to wear myself down. It's not easy but I enjoy seeing a clean home and landscaping. Hubby has a rider mower and it still takes about 1 1/2 hours for him to mow the yard and we are in our early 70's but it also helps us to keep on moving LOL. I guess it boils down to priorities to some people and pride in maintaining our property and home. God bless.

Quite frankly Steve when I started watching this video it made me angry, not at you (you are a hero for taking this on). When I see shopping carts discarded/abandoned like these in this yard it makes me furious at the abject shamelessness of some members of the human race who don't care about the property of others (not to mention that the 'pricey' cost of the carts is built into the cost of the merchandise by the business owners). I know sometimes things can go awry due to circumstances and we need to be careful before we judge but in this case it would seem the property is occupied - the laundry disappeared off the washing line part way through the video - so, I should probably stop now before I say more! I will watch part 4 because you deserve it.
