It's always been my head canon that the various sets of 3 sacred items needed to power-up or unlock the Master Sword were derived from one another; ie, the Sacred Stones were probably forged in the Sacred Flames, and the Pendants of Virtue are just re-settings of what remained of the Sacred Stones by the time of ALttP's Imprisoning War.

It most definetly didn't as it seems to be "locked away" within the last remaining descendant of the goddess for as of yet unknown reasons. As Monster Maze suggested in a theory video he made a few weeks before the release of Tears of the Kingdom there's the possibility that the original Link of Skyward Sword carried the full Triforce within his spirit from the very moment he was born and only after he completed the trials given to him by Hylia did he achieve a _balanced heart_ in order to obtain all 3 pieces. It's certainly possible that the current Zelda is going through the same scenario as the original Hero.

Is that the Triforce is on RuRu’s wife “sorry forgot her name “ but it is On her hand/ arm in the cutscene where Zelda first meets them 2 and she reaches out to Zelda to comfort her saying everything will be alright

Tbh, I was bummed out by the fact that the Eighth Heroine never existed but a man who gave the Seven their powers. I had this idea for a future Zelda title that compliments that in the context of the Hyrulean lore. Seven maidens with distinct powers and Princess Zelda being the secret eighth maiden with all of the powers combined with the might of the Triforce of Wisdom. But since Tears of the Kingdom brought this mystery to its end, I didn’t explore my original idea very much because the Eighth Heroine was no vai at all… Who knows? Maybe there will be a time for Nintendo to build up more characterization in a newer entry with Zelda (preferably her Smash Ultimate appearance) having more of a focus in Link’s journey than ever.

okay so this is really unclear because sometimes it appearing can mean that you possess the virtues of that piece and other times it appears because you have all three? its super unclear unfortunately. check out pg 14 of the encyclopedia...idk whatcha thinking homie??

@@moxiewatts I think it should be the whole thing, because in BotW she seems to have proven of harboring all three virtues; them being in balance, and being able to unleash her powers (the selfless act to save Link was her Courage moment, the last virtue missing). Her only having the Wisdom part in TotK would raise the questions of 1) why? (did she lose those virtues? If so, what did she do to do so?) and 2) what happened to the other two parts? Did they go to their "rightful" owners (Ganondorf and Link usually)? Which doesn't seem to be the case, because we see neither Ganondorf nor Link having any sort of mark. Did they shatter? Like the Courage piece does in Wind Waker? I think we just can't clearly see it and it's the whole thing (or at least I hope).

That one cutscene everyone missed where the Triforce was right there and people missed and was like "Where's the Triforce?" oh it's there, you just have to look really closely. xD Just like the Triforce, the Zonai Secret Stones doesn't distinguish good from evil, only enhancing the users existing magic abilities and transforms them into more powerful beings. Ganondorf being a powerful warlock being able to use magic to create multiple decoys at once to do his bidding and much more, while also having exceptional combat abilities to rival Link.

Speculation: I've seen a lot of burnout on TOTK lately. It's understandable why. However, as I may be entirely wrong on this, I'll pose something I've been puzzling on for some time now: Hyrule in TOTK is not yet same as in BOTW. There are some reasons as to why I think this: 1. The calamity, as far as I know, is never mentioned 2. The sheikah tech is missing 3. The guardian obelisks surrounding the castle are missing It's really weird about how all that stuff can just up and disappear. However, some additional points include armor Link had acquired going to bizarre places. For instance, the Zora Greaves going from his inventory to the ancient Zora Waterworks. I recognize that the game is about a closed loop, but there is something more to it that I don't think people can see. I may be optimistic here but I can't see the Zelda team losing faith in a beloved franchise, not even because of Fujibayashi. That said, I do think there is a timeline placement, there is cannonicity and continuity from the old games, and there is an important distinction between what TOTK is doing and what people perceive to be a reboot of the series. Allow me to explain, and I have limited proof but I'll try to list what I can: 1. OOT's Temple of Time doesn't exist anymore, as the Great Plateau's temple, while it does resemble its counterpart, was constructed during the Era of Decline during the Imprisoning War, prior to Minish Cap, hence the castle like gates found on the side if the plateau. The ToT in OOT was crumbling in TP. It would never have survived into the Era of the Wilds. Even if those aren't the same temples, it's evident the 2nd temple of time was long gone by the time of TP. Same goes for the 1st in the Lanayru Desert. 2. The Tunics of Past Heroes are found in shrine-like areas in the Depths, without Amiibo or DLC. This implies that, at the very least, the Eras of the Sky, Twilight, the Great Sea, Time and Legend took place. However, we don't see the tunic of the Hero of Men from the Minish Cap. This ignores the various weapons found from those eras, as they point to the same conclusion. 3. In Skyward Sword, we never actually see the founding of the Kingdom of Hyrule. It isn't even spoken of. However, the Kingdom technically existed prior to SS, as Hylia ruled in those days. Whether the land was called Hyrule or not, we don't know. Now, that said, King Rauru and Queen Sonia could very well have founded the Kingdom of Hyrule as we know it today. I currently believe the Hyrule they founded was established prior to Minish Cap. The Zonai would have quickly died off as Rauru and Mineru are the last of their kind. They had descended from the heavens, where another advanced tribe dwelled. I believe it to not be far off to say the Zonai are the Wind Tribe. Not to mention that the Picori *could* possibly be the descendants of Hylians that stayed in Skyloft that came down later, with the Picori Blade. Odd that we don't see the ancient Four Sword in TOTK, too... Side speculation: The Master Sword link wields in BOTW/TOTK isn't the true Master Sword, tempered by the Goddess Flames. Instead, it is a lesser sword that can break, can be touched by evil while also being able to seal evil away: the Picori Blade. There isn't a ton of evidence for that, though, if any. The Master Sword in TP is longer than the one in the newer games. It also can't break or run out of energy. None of the previous appearances, save for BOTW, show the Master Sword breaking. All of a sudden, now it does something akin to breaking: losing so much energy after a few swings that it becomes useless and disappears entirely. In Wind Waker, you could use the sword still as a sword. You just had to power it up again and it did more damage. Those are my thoughts. Sorry if they sound random and disconnected. I feel like the community is missing something major that the developers failed at communicating properly. Hope this provides some sort of faith to come back.

​@@moxiewatts I've been wanting to formalize my theories connecting the portals used for the Shrines of Light, and the idea that the different Temples of Time being connected by portals makes aligning the different maps of Hyrule easier. The Hyrule Cathedral, which is positioned in Castle Town where the Ocarina of Time Temple of time would be, has a footprint very much like the Temple of Time on the Great Plateau. (There is also an interesting side note, that many Zoni abilities, shrine functions, and even time manipulation, could all be manipulation through higher dimensions. Making things grow and shrink, passing through solid objects, floating without any apparent supports. And, of course, portals, or should I worm holes. But, that's my science geek mind at work.) I'm currently working on my map analysis, between the different games. I hope to be able to go through my findings this weekend, in game, to see what I can find. If you would like the maps I am putting together, message me on Discord, and I will send you what I have, so far. Other wise, I hope to go public with my full theory by the end of the weekend.

@@moxiewatts not really. I have to say, I was a little sad when I started playing totK and the temple of time looked exaclty the same as in botw. Before release, we could guess that the citizens started rebuilding Hyrule after the calamity due to trailers. So I was hoping that maybe the temple of time would look at least a little bit different, and that maybe we would find more story there. Like, we all know that it was a very important building in the past and now it seems like everyone in Hyrule has forgotten about it. Maybe it is connected to what you said about the triforce in your video since it also seems to have been forgotton? Then again, the temple of time is on the high plateau and maybe it is difficult for Hylians to go up there? Idk, I am really looking forward to your theory. OoT is my childhood game, so the temple of time always gives me nostalgic feelings :)

Actually in windows waker the master sword had to be reawakened to be uses on ganondorf,skyward sword wasn't the only other instance where the sword needed and upgrade,and idk if it counts but in twilight princess the master sword was blessed by the twilight before facing Ganon and sword glows with that energy in battle with ganon

koume and kotake's names being on ganondorf's weapons is such an odd detail to me. i mean on one hand it's most definitely just a cool surface level reference. they've done it once before in wind waker too, ganondorf's twin swords each have one of their names. on the other hand, from a story/lore perspective it just seems... incredibly sentimental, which isn't fitting for ganondorf at ALL lmao. the only thing i could think of making sense here is that maybe koume and kotake made the weapons themselves and inscribed their names on them

You know, with all of your Easter Egg references, I kinda want to bring back up my bizarre Kirby and Zelda connections exaggeration. I’m fully aware you disapprove having the two franchises connected to one another, but here’s what I’m hoping Nintendo ought to do for a future Zelda. Bringing back the leviathan fossils and the dark skeletons located in the underground beneath them, and have an entire side quest revolving three mages who shared a bond with them. First you locate the leviathans and if you look around, you find the weapons once wielded by the missing mages. However, once you venture into the underground, you’ll stumble across monuments that read the “Song of Supplication” inscripted into them. If you don’t know, the song is the Mage Sisters’ prayer song for Void Termina as well as their own battle themes, representing their (initial) dark devotion for wrath and ruin. (Zan Partizanne’s theme is different from the other theme for Francisca and Flamberge…) Should Princess Zelda ever be playable, the player can dress her up in the Mage Sisters’ robes while Link carries their weapons: the Francisca, the Flamberge, and the Partisan. Link’s Awakening had obvious Kirby and Mario references all over the game. It’d be interesting to see them do it again.

The only musucs from past games I can detect is dragoon roost in rito village, and a touch of traditional Zora domain. Link I can not hear him hum at all!!! He never hums no mater how much I cook..

I'm not exactly sure, but here's my idea. the triforce was together in both the downfall and adult timeline...so wot if in the child timeline, after Ganondorf was eliminated (pg 14 encyclopedia triforce timeline) then Link would have likely surrendered his piece to Zelda. This might have been in a past life, maybe after the events of twilight princess. its just a hunch tho, but thats what lorulean and i have spoken about.
