If I knew moyu was going to release a 5x5 I wouldn't have bought the gan 5x5. The aochaung wrm was my favorite 5x5 for a long time and I can just see this cube being really good especially given its size.

We are maybe missing a version here? Unless the Huachuang or Weichuang counted (but not both) 1. Aochuang v1 0. Huachuang - I believe this one shouldn't count due to a different mech. It has a 2-shell mechanism and is much more similar to the Gan 5x5 that came 9 years after it. 2. Bochuang GT - this one was almost named Aochuang GTS but the name changed last minute. The mechanism is similar to the modern Aochuang GTS/WRM/v6 design, but back then they didn't push the anti-deforming mech between the 2nd and 3rd layers very much. It's probably limited by the screw having to pass through the middle layer, so the narrowest part of the 3rd layer can't be sized too small. 0. Weichuang GTS - this is a single-anchored cube more similar to the Shengshou 4x4, Meiyu 4x4 and Eastsheen 4x4 than most other cubes. The second layer is deeper than the outer, so I believe this shouldn't count either. 3. Aochuang GTS - inverted a new center cap fitting method that did not require the screw to pass through the center cap area, allowing them to exaggerate the anti-deforming design much more than they did on the Bochuang 4. Aochuang WRM - basically the same as GTS, but they made it a bit smaller and lighter. This should technically be Aochuang v5 but is named v6. Based on the picture on the box, it looks extremely similar to the GTS and WRM. Not too sure what you have heard from Moyu side.

@@davidkindermann8502 Isn't 4 the unlucky number? 四 (four) and 死 (death) are both spelt "si" in Chinese, although there is a slight pronunciation difference. The Chinese companies are not always afraid naming their products v4 though. Not everyone believes in the superstition, but sometimes it can be related to making your product/brand name sound nice.

A suggestion is using Angstrom lubes. Use the angstrom setup tutorial from the Channel “random help videos from the cubicle” and it works really well.
