Hopefully, this video conveyed the feel of the pedals to you guys that are not at Gamescom. My brain was starting to fade like a GT3 car brake at the end of a 24-hour race. That's how the Simucube software is, Moza will likely have this as well. Really exciting stuff, and because it's Moza, these are definitely going to reduce the price point of active pedals. I'm sure they'll still be expensive, but for me, not needing tools to wrestle with stiff pedals on the floor, and being able to make arguably MORE adjustment, is well worth it.

Being able to swap the brake/clutch pedals in software would be awesome for my knees when left-foot braking in cars without a clutch, while not having to lose the clutch when the car has one, and not having to physically move things around to switch. For me, that's a big advantage of active pedals no one seems to talk about (assuming the software side of things allows it). Great to see this kind of tech from more than one manufacturer now, as it'll hopefully bring prices down.

@@GamerMuscleVideos Yeah, IDK anything about flight sims but not having to find a way to mount both types of pedals (I have seen it done, but it didn't look easy/ideal) or have separate rigs would be great for people who do both. And some flight sims that actually support modern hardware, lol.

If Moza give us good software with this the potential is insane. Could get a 3 pedal setup, and use it for: - Road car driving, clutch/brake/throttle - GT3/formula car driving, using the clutch as a brake to be inline with your right leg, middle pedal does nothing, right pedal is throttle - Flight sims using the clutch and throttle in a linked mode as rudder pedal input If Moza manage to do this I will buy three of them and basically never need a new set of pedals.

Welcome to the future of Sim racing! No more changing springs and dampers to adjust brake feel. Imagine having a throttle pedal that can be light, as a drive by wire system on a F1 car, then stiff as an old mechanical linkage on an American V8 muscle car, by simply downloading a saved pedal file. Or, a clutch that feels like an actual clutch pedal. If Moza or somebody else will integrate these into one plug and play system, imagine downloading pedal files from an actual race car. If somebody can do all 3 pedals with a single control unit for 1000 or less... They will own the sim pedal market! They might could use these same tech to make a realistic "H" pattern shifter. Then after they own the racing sim market...imagine an active feedback flight-control stick, that fights against you in a highspeed bombing run! Or the feel of afterburners firing on a F4 phantom throttle or fighting a damaged rudder pedal on a wounded B17. Moza should take this tech and run with it! They could own the entire sim market

I never said they are a gimmick.. 1) good for training centres 2) good for people with tons of money to spend that want to mess with settings 3) Good for people that like to adjust position for different things 4) Have huge future potential I'm also a big fan of simucube in general and bunch of the guys that work for them are always really friendly and fun to chat to. But reality is 1) Hardware can't fix huge tire model physics issues some sims have 2) ABS is a really bad thing to market these active pedals on as ABS can be done with rumble far cheaper and ABS is generally to help with a driver being less precise / less about on the limit modulation before lockup / reducing tire ware in endurance racing. Fundamentally really an ultimate race car probably shouldn't have ABS 😛. Also lots of sims have weard tire models and abs systems that on the sim side are an issue regardless of hardware 3) lots of sims don't take advantage of active pedals fully yet 4) lots of simracers can't even drive within 3 seconds of pace them learning just the most basic of technique with cheap pedals would be a good idea before spending tons on complex active pedals 4) Lots of sims are failing to do good dynamic wheel FFB which can give you most of info you need for dynamic braking feel , it makes more sense for devs to focus on that first than active pedals which few people will have. I'm a big fan of active pedals if price is good ... As always I'm not a fan of the mountain of snake oil BS that is found in the simracing space and outright delusion along with people repeating stuff they see some KZbinrs say without actually critically thinking about things and how they impact stuff.
