Ya I have an S9+ which is in the top 3 most popular and significant current android phone and the app does not work at all. I just get a white screen that I cant even get out of unless I close it through task manager/recent apps. And yes I have the most current version of the beta-app. I just don't get why the Android platform is just an after thought to you guys. Do you guys only have 1 programmer/developer working on the android app?

I'm upgrading. It's at 0% after 30 minutes. And the thing hasn't worked in months. I'm trying everything. It first started jumping as I recorded through the app, then it started shaking. Not it spins. Help.

I got the same problem. I think these people have problems in their gimbals and they have not got any solution on it everybody should stop buying their stuff and switch to dji. I have a good youtube suscribers i will make a bad review on them and help people chosing stuff wisely .

I just got this thing, it was working fine out the box. Turned it on this morning and it started spinning out of control. Finally was able to upgrade the firmware and calibrate after several hundred tries and now it just shakes... Using S7 Edge! Sending this thing back and getting a Snoppa as I first started to do.

topwater4427 hi! If you can find it that would be great! Ever since I did the calibration my gimbal didn't work. Just keeps flopping around. Prior to calibrating it was fine. Shouldn't have done it. I emailed support but haven't heard back. Did your gimbal work okay?

I bought the mini moza mi and after doing a firmware update the gimbal is out of control despite the calibration. What to do. In addition the application is not optimal for my galaxy note 8, I can not film in 4 K. Should we recommend this gimbal .... I wonder. I found the restore to factory defaults but it's not responding. i tap it the button many times. Plus my gimbal always seems to go to sleep mode i'm not sure why. Not to mention the vibration, spinning and tilting. PLEASE HELP!!!

The Roll axis calibration is cryptic and I can't make it work .... the other things will calibrate, but it doesn't stop it from spinning like a blender ... Any ideas?

for the roll axis step...try holding it at the L bracket of the gimbal...not the motor/not the handle...hope that helps

I figured out that the first step works best when you have it on the tripod, and that I was misreading one of the images on the end steps of calibration. It seems to work well now. I hope that helps!

Mik I had a problem updating the moza. the indicators blinked, the device was not updated and I could not get back to normal mode. but a day later the program on the phone was updated. I clicked "update" several times and moza was updated. I clicked update 15 times! then I turned off the moza, turned it on and it worked.

I think I really messed up getting this device here. It just came in today and it worked well then for some reason it started shaking violently and then it stops and the indicator light on the right hand side starts blinking repeatedly. Don't know what to do, it's insanely frustrating really.

I also have been fighting my new (2nd) Moza Mini Mi. First one vibrated like a beaten dog in a set of crosshairs. My second one did not turn on after repeated charges. Moza support is in good communication and I am trying (5th time) to figure out how to calibrate as Moza has not figured out how to truly translate a good set of instructions that have ALL the information in the documentation. Seems like a good product if I can just get operational. As a noob trying to use video to promote my business it is SO frustrating. Phones I'm testing on the gimbal. Iphone 6, Samsung Note 8, Samsung Note 8 . I also have the Moza firmware genie updating EVERYTIME I log in to try and calibrate. Like Seriously?? Andriod app software is still not totally integrated to the Genie App so features do not work. Also the gimbal does not sync to Filmic app. Okay trying once again to get calibration. 1. Connection failed- Phone app is on, then turned on gimbal- I will try to reverse. 2. Press middle button on gimbal then on switch. Then press connect within Genie app- Nope that don't work either . Hmmmmmm??!!! I need a drink of hard alcohol....pull out tiny little instructional booklet to refresh old man memory. 3. Nope nothing on calibration in the manual other than scan the QR code at end of page. Like I know what a QR code is right?! OK so Gudsen support sends me two conflicting opinions. One is take the phone out of the gimbal and recalibrate and the other is put the phone in the gimbal and recalibrate. Which person in the support department should I truly believe? 4. Still trying to get the phone to connect to the software.......OMG I have been pressing the same buttons but now it's connected...hooray! 5. Even though my phones at 39% the battery is not reading. Perhaps that's because I have the Samsung note 5 in the cradle. I knew I should've grabbed the iPhone before doing this. I have the feeling it won't work so maybe I'll go grab that phone after I tried to recalibrate 6. Pressing the calibrate button.... And I get the message "Warm Prompt"... (That's not a typo, that's exactly what it says) if the device is not operating abnormally, please carefully calibrate your device. Ok so lets give that another shot... 7. Confirming... Phone immediately goes into what I would describe as a sleep mode although the lights are still on and the right one is blinking beside the joystick. We have two choices of calibration. Either guided or manual. I'm going to try guided. 8. The first step calibrates the mechanical angle and then immediately goes into the electrical calibration. I passed the first test but obvious he didn't pass the second because I had no idea what electrical calibration is supposed to mean nor is there any sort of guidance. But I am returning to the previous step to try again. Right so the screen has basically locked up on me and I'm sitting here grinding my teeth. I had to totally get out of the application and restarted 9. So the first step is called guided calibration and there is a neat picture which is fairly easy to follow so let's try this again. Once again calibrating the mechanical angle was very easy and passed immediately but then it starts to calibrate the electrical calibration and of course there's no picture in the android app so I have no idea what wants me to do. It's time to go find my wife's iPhone 6 10. Okay so now the iPhone 6 is sitting in the cradle. Balanced and ready to rumble. Where the heck did I put that genie app. AHHHHHhhhhhh... ok so pressing the middle button and the power button on the gimbal with the Genie app already on. Device immediately connects with the phone but wants to know if I want to upgrade the gimbal. sigh... OK so upgrade again. I highly doubt that there's upgrades every single day since Christmas but it seems to be the way of Moza to upgrade firmer every time you turn on the app. 30% - 50% - 60 % ......snoozing.....Ah ok 100 % ya baby.... Version 0.1.3 11. Where’s that guided calibration button? Well it's not in the settings. Let's try the cloud picture, and I get a warning ..."Am I sure I want to upgrade the gimbal." I'll do just about anything at this point including running around a bonfire nude chanting a mantra while sacrificing a chicken if I can get this damn thing working. But I'm pretty sure I already upgraded the gimbal and the last step. Let's keep searching.... Swipe left... Nothing - swipe right... Nothing... I'm about ready to throw this phone out the window with the gimbal attached. Scroll through the settings yet once again... Camera mode-resolution-professional mode-frames-anti-shake-flash-grid-filter-gradient or-sound metre-live streaming-reset camera... While none of those sounds like recalibrate.. Time to back to the web and do a search. Where does Moza Genie software put the recalibration button? kzbin.info/www/bejne/mnWTlp2PhtmggJo Well this video doesn't work for me. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mnWTlp2PhtmggJo Well this video doesn't work for me. One thing I can't set the phone up like the way they are showing the video and I also don't have the same icons that they are using on the phone in the video. Still looking for the calibration icon on the Iphone6.. Firmware upgrade button is the only button that seems to work but I've already done that twice. But once you press it you have to let it go through its sequences. Nope I'm tired of this so I have to turn off the phone so I can take back control. Now I am truly ready to shoot something. Think I'll read the newspaper while my phone is rebooting 12. Here's an interesting new development. Leaving the gimbal on with the right light flashing up by the joystick now gives me a Bluetooth icon on my phone. Shucks it's only a Bluetooth location app. But for some reason although it recognizes the Moza gimbal it is not hooking up to it so now I'm going to try to restart the gimbal while the phone app is on... Alright.. Another new development. 13. While recognizing the phone the gimbal automatically turned the phone up into landscape mode and all of a sudden I have access to other icons which I didn't have access when the phone was lying flat facing up. 14. And there's the calibration button 15. "Are you sure you want to calibrate the gimbal"- HELL YA!!! 16. And of course the phone then goes back to sleep with the screen facing up in the phone balanced. But now I get to press "default calibrate"..... let's see what happens.... Well the gimbal is telling me it's alive.. So that's a good start. But a new instruction that says.." Loose phone after three seconds".. In the top left corner of the screen had me confused. Let's start over and see what happens. Well my phone screen is black and I have to unlock it again.. What the heck is going on??? 17. Second calibration instruction is called the default calibration and it looks easy enough although the gimbal is trying to fight me a little bit... I have to hold the gimbal level with the top of the desk otherwise it flops over before press start. Calibration completed although the phone is trying to wiggle a little bit and it's not pushing me into the next calibration mode.. sigh.. Let's start over again.. I might have to try custom calibration if this doesn't work. 18. After the 10th try, my gimbal assures me it's calibrated. The two blue lights are still on with the right one flashing. I'm going to turn off the gimbal and restart and see what happens. Ay caramba!!!!! gimbal totally freaks out and start slapping my phone around against the handle. I am totally at a loss with this unit and since the second one they sent me doesn't power up I am left here wondering if I should put a bullet in my brain. I hope you all have better success than I have. I would fully agree with other posts that I have read suggesting that Moza get proper documentation in place. I would also humbly suggest that they get people who understand the written English word to write up that documentation. I have noted that even their website is full of syntax errors which shouldn't happen to a company selling across the world. May the force be with us..

My Moza has a jolt when it moves. When it pans or tilts etc, the motors seems to jitter or something. This happens regularly which makes most shots have this bounce in the footage. The point of the gimbal is to help produce smooth footage. I have updated the firmware and calibrated a few times. Any suggestions????????

Mine Moza Mini-Mi just stopped working after firmware update (the turn on\off button doesn't do anything, the red light of charging is visible, the app sees the devices for few sec, but when I tap on the name, the app is not able to connect to the device and the device disappears from the list). Anybody knows about an option of factory reset or manual firmware upgrade through USB? The official support is still ignoring me, I'm waiting for tomorrow to call them during working hours, they might provide some explanations. Any advices are much appreciated from people who encountered the same problem as me. It looks like a lot of people have similar problems. I wonder, how fast official support responses.

I tried updating firmware and now it's stuck in the firmware update mode if I connect to the app it asks to upgrade firmware again and gets to 100% says it's finished and keeps repeating this cycle. Any idea what to do ?

It's trying to counter-balance the phone but if it's not on there the motor probably doesn't know what to do. Mine does the same thing. Just touch it with your finger it'll stop it moving it's looking for weight.

for those who are having trouble with connection in upgrade mode. when it says it cannot find it press and hold the center button again then touch the retry icon in the left corner of the notification box and it should show up after that. that's how I got mine upgraded and I hope that it works for others

Mine got the same problem. My update stuck at 0% , I finally turned it off , then I can't turn in on normally. Now if I push the power button , it enters the firmware update mode ONLY. Oh my god , please help ......

I tried to calibrate and spinning disaster occurred. Re-calibrated and realised I made a mistake following instructions. Its working fine now although, I havent been able to update and the Moza Genie app looks very different to the instruction video above. Not sure if I'm up to date or not. Anyone got any advice or where do i see my firmware update details?

Can't connect to gimbal via bluetooth. the app version is 1.1.3 (downloaded from official site), the phone is Mi Max 2, Android 7.1.1; after reading previous comments I don't even think about firmware upgrade, but still want to make some changes to gimbal setting - ant no luck...

Gimbal Name 2. When did you get the gimbal 3. Your Phone Type and System version 4. When you first found the connect problem, was it after upgrading the firmware or after upgrading the App? 5. Does not turn off automatically after upgrade. Also software version does not change, no matter how many times upgrade of firmware is done.

HEY ANYONE HELP, My Moza Mini-Mi just stopped working after firmware update (the turn on\off button doesn't do anything, the red light of charging is visible, When i charge it, its led indicator goes red. Even after 4 hours later. But then it cant be turn on at all. Anybody knows about an option of factory reset or manual firmware upgrade through USB?

Hello, thanks for your feedback first. If the MOZA assistant app remote MOZA Mini-MI, 2 mobile phones are needed. One phone on the gimbal, another is used to remote control the gimbal. How do you think about this?

I also have been fighting my new (2nd) Moza Mini Mi. First one vibrated like a beaten dog in a set of crosshairs. My second one did not turn on after repeated charges. Moza support is in good communication and I am trying (5th time) to figure out how to calibrate as Moza has not figured out how to truly translate a good set of instructions that have ALL the information in the documentation. Seems like a good product if I can just get operational. As a noob trying to use video to promote my business it is SO frustrating. Phones I'm testing on the gimbal. Iphone 6, Samsung Note 8, Samsung Note 8 . I also have the Moza firmware genie updating EVERYTIME I log in to try and calibrate. Like Seriously?? Andriod app software is still not totally integrated to the Genie App so features do not work. Also the gimbal does not sync to Filmic app. Okay trying once again to get calibration. 1. Connection failed- Phone app is on, then turned on gimbal- I will try to reverse. 2. Press middle button on gimbal then on switch. Then press connect within Genie app- Nope that don't work either . Hmmmmmm??!!! I need a drink of hard alcohol....pull out tiny little instructional booklet to refresh old man memory. 3. Nope nothing on calibration in the manual other than scan the QR code at end of page. Like I know what a QR code is right?! OK so Gudsen support sends me two conflicting opinions. One is take the phone out of the gimbal and recalibrate and the other is put the phone in the gimbal and recalibrate. Which person in the support department should I truly believe? 4. Still trying to get the phone to connect to the software.......OMG I have been pressing the same buttons but now it's connected...hooray! 5. Even though my phones at 39% the battery is not reading. Perhaps that's because I have the Samsung note 5 in the cradle. I knew I should've grabbed the iPhone before doing this. I have the feeling it won't work so maybe I'll go grab that phone after I tried to recalibrate 6. Pressing the calibrate button.... And I get the message "Warm Prompt"... (That's not a typo, that's exactly what it says) if the device is not operating abnormally, please carefully calibrate your device. Ok so lets give that another shot... 7. Confirming... Phone immediately goes into what I would describe as a sleep mode although the lights are still on and the right one is blinking beside the joystick. We have two choices of calibration. Either guided or manual. I'm going to try guided. 8. The first step calibrates the mechanical angle and then immediately goes into the electrical calibration. I passed the first test but obvious he didn't pass the second because I had no idea what electrical calibration is supposed to mean nor is there any sort of guidance. But I am returning to the previous step to try again. Right so the screen has basically locked up on me and I'm sitting here grinding my teeth. I had to totally get out of the application and restarted 9. So the first step is called guided calibration and there is a neat picture which is fairly easy to follow so let's try this again. Once again calibrating the mechanical angle was very easy and passed immediately but then it starts to calibrate the electrical calibration and of course there's no picture in the android app so I have no idea what wants me to do. It's time to go find my wife's iPhone 6 10. Okay so now the iPhone 6 is sitting in the cradle. Balanced and ready to rumble. Where the heck did I put that genie app. AHHHHHhhhhhh... ok so pressing the middle button and the power button on the gimbal with the Genie app already on. Device immediately connects with the phone but wants to know if I want to upgrade the gimbal. sigh... OK so upgrade again. I highly doubt that there's upgrades every single day since Christmas but it seems to be the way of Moza to upgrade firmer every time you turn on the app. 30% - 50% - 60 % ......snoozing.....Ah ok 100 % ya baby.... Version 0.1.3 11. Where’s that guided calibration button? Well it's not in the settings. Let's try the cloud picture, and I get a warning ..."Am I sure I want to upgrade the gimbal." I'll do just about anything at this point including running around a bonfire nude chanting a mantra while sacrificing a chicken if I can get this damn thing working. But I'm pretty sure I already upgraded the gimbal and the last step. Let's keep searching.... Swipe left... Nothing - swipe right... Nothing... I'm about ready to throw this phone out the window with the gimbal attached. Scroll through the settings yet once again... Camera mode-resolution-professional mode-frames-anti-shake-flash-grid-filter-gradient or-sound metre-live streaming-reset camera... While none of those sounds like recalibrate.. Time to back to the web and do a search. One thing I can't set the phone up like the way they are showing the video and I also don't have the same icons that they are using on the phone in the video. Still looking for the calibration icon on the Iphone6.. Firmware upgrade button is the only button that seems to work but I've already done that twice. But once you press it you have to let it go through its sequences. Nope I'm tired of this so I have to turn off the phone so I can take back control. Now I am truly ready to shoot something. Think I'll read the newspaper while my phone is rebooting 12. Here's an interesting new development. Leaving the gimbal on with the right light flashing up by the joystick now gives me a Bluetooth icon on my phone. Shucks it's only a Bluetooth location app. But for some reason although it recognizes the Moza gimbal it is not hooking up to it so now I'm going to try to restart the gimbal while the phone app is on... Alright.. Another new development. 13. While recognizing the phone the gimbal automatically turned the phone up into landscape mode and all of a sudden I have access to other icons which I didn't have access when the phone was lying flat facing up. 14. And there's the calibration button 15. "Are you sure you want to calibrate the gimbal"- HELL YA!!! 16. And of course the phone then goes back to sleep with the screen facing up in the phone balanced. But now I get to press "default calibrate"..... let's see what happens.... Well the gimbal is telling me it's alive.. So that's a good start. But a new instruction that says.." Loose phone after three seconds".. In the top left corner of the screen had me confused. Let's start over and see what happens. Well my phone screen is black and I have to unlock it again.. What the heck is going on??? 17. Second calibration instruction is called the default calibration and it looks easy enough although the gimbal is trying to fight me a little bit... I have to hold the gimbal level with the top of the desk otherwise it flops over before press start. Calibration completed although the phone is trying to wiggle a little bit and it's not pushing me into the next calibration mode.. sigh.. Let's start over again.. I might have to try custom calibration if this doesn't work. 18. After the 10th try, my gimbal assures me it's calibrated. The two blue lights are still on with the right one flashing. I'm going to turn off the gimbal and restart and see what happens. Ay caramba!!!!! gimbal totally freaks out and start slapping my phone around against the handle. I am totally at a loss with this unit and since the second one they sent me doesn't power up I am left here wondering if I should put a bullet in my brain. I hope you all have better success than I have. I would fully agree with other posts that I have read suggesting that Moza get proper documentation in place. I would also humbly suggest that they get people who understand the written English word to write up that documentation. I have noted that even their website is full of syntax errors which shouldn't happen to a company selling across the world. May the force be with us..
