Thank you for this great video, just been onto SimDemon and ordered up a full Moza setup with this R12 with your discount and saved £30!! I've got the G920 and just couldn't get on with it. I was also picking up bad techniques in real life drifting, throwing the wheel which you end up doing with the Logitech so hoping this will stop me needing to do this :) Now to get onto the sims and see which one is best for real life training when not in the car!

You'll be absolutely blown away by the difference, believe me! 12Nm is absolutely the best spot to be - super strong but not CRAZY money. You'll probably never ever feel the need to upgrade again. Thanks for commenting - let us all know your feedback when you get it going...

I'd say the truebrake puts the Logitechs slightly above the SRPs in terms of performance, and if you swap the springs around (as described in the recent truebrake review) then it's 'shoe friendly', and I drive so much better with shoe friendly pedals with proper resistance@@tver

I've had my R12 for about 4 months now, and I absolutely love it. Does it get warm? Yes it does, but only warm and never too hot, as some have said. Nonetheless, I havent noticed any loss of FFB or detail, it still tries to break your thumbs if you're not careful 😂. Do I wish I had chosen the Simagic Alpha Mini? In a way, yes, but the R12 is serving me very well, and I dont regret the purchase for one second.

@@MasterJ209 despite what the reviews say about the Alpha Mini being tested at 12Nm, in real life back to back testing the R12 definitely feels stronger. Also the detail of the R12 is far superior than the Alpha Mini, and the Moza Pithouse software, although far from perfect, allows more fine adjustment across the range.
@Thorkell_Joms3 ай бұрын
This last week at Reddit a user compared Moza R9 and Simagic Alpha Mini v3 (current version) and affirmed that the current Mini does not peak at 13nm and the FFB strength is similar to R9. But is well know that there were many improvements in FFB detail with Simagic v3. I'm really on the fence between Moza R12 and Alpha Mini. I don't really want more Nm, just really detailed FFB to catch slips, feel tyre grip. Do you have more input about ffb detail?

Great review. Just purchased an R12 TY
@wangte2710 ай бұрын
The problem with the comparison of $ per nm is flawed. Many have tested the Alpha mini to be more than 13 nm. It also has a smoother motor with more detailed FFB ie true servo and higher bit encoders. Plus it's got way more mounting options not just bottom mounted as default. Moza is known to make a lot of questionable claims on its specs. Have you compared with the competition?

i have had the R12 for over a month and then thing is perfect, but i would not say it runs cool, quite the contrary actually, it gets pretty toasty at 100% ffb but you do have to push it to get those high temps, but even then, you will never lose ffb

I find it strange that it says the V1 wheels are not compatible. I've been using a CS V1 on my R12 for 2 weeks with no issue. I was intending to buy the V2 but the Sim shop near where I live was out of stock. They loaned me the V1 temporarily until the V2 comes in. YMMV but if you aren't ordering online & can return it just in case the V1 seems to work with the R12 for me.

I currently have an R5 with ES wheel and am considering upgrading to the r12. Is it a significant difference? Is there a lot more roadfeel?
@arkalon498613 күн бұрын
I was in exactly your position and took delivery of the R12 yesterday. I'm still dialing in the settings as I was underwhelmed with it's performance on first go. First go being on ACC Monza as that is the track I'm used to., however, I was pleasantly surprised when I felt it come to life with far more force feedback and for the first time, road feel, after dialing in the settings. I race maybe twice a week. I can definitely recommend the R12 with the ES wheel (with the Moza GT wheel modification) and SR-P Lites with the Moza brake modification. If you are just a very casual racer, I wouldn't go for it. However, if you have the cash and the time, it is a worthy upgrade in my humble opinion.

Moza R12 or Simucube 2 Pro? I've tested Moza R12 and feel that this base is even too strong for me, so don't know if Simucube 2 Pro is able to offer something more than only more power?
@dannyleeracing11 ай бұрын
The Simucube 2 Pro will be even stronger than the R12 by a long way - simucube is basically the Rolls Royce of wheelbases - expensive, but very high quality, performance and reputation. If that's of much importance to you then it's just down to your budget! Sometimes you just want the best because it'll make you feel good about it, even if you'll never really need everything it can do.

@dannyleeracing11 ай бұрын
It might be worth exploring some settings specific for iRacing - it's interesting that you love ACC's FFB but find iRacing's feels disconnected, it's usually the other way round so you might just be 'acclimatised' to that style of force feedback!
@mrtakeaminute681511 ай бұрын
I've heard trueforce doesn't work well in all games, so maybe try disabling it with iracing, that could be the issue. Besides that iracing and acc have slightly different feeling FFB so maybe try experimenting with a custom preset for iracing

My big concern with Moza these days is they all seem to overheat.
@dannyleeracing11 ай бұрын
I've used a fair few Moza bases now (R5, R9, R12) and overheating hasn't been an issue for me, all bases have been nothing more than mildly warm at most, however I do think it's possible that perhaps the FFB settings have a very large part to play for those who do experience overheats. Don't forget also that you're likely to hear about the few bases that do genuinely have overheating issues than the many that don't. Fanatec suffers the same with the QR1 Lite breakages and the failed firmware updates that have long terrorised people researching a Fanatec setup too. All manufacturers will face some level of defects but it's necessary to recognise them as the minority, it's how the manufacturer responds to that which will make the difference.
@X1erra11 ай бұрын
@@dannyleeracing I agree. I live in a tropical part of the world (Indonesia). The only time my base has gone warm is when I play AC with really heavy FFB. If you're fighting the wheel a lot for an hour, yeah, it can get a bit hot. But it won't overheat. It is a non-issue for me.
