Mozart Horn Concerto No 1, 1st Mvnt, Steve Park - Horn

You will notice that I use alternate (Bb) fingerings for the E, F# and G# on fast passages. The photographs in the background are all of buildings from Vienna that were built before 1781 when Mozart moved to that city. Subscribe! I will be adding more solos on a regular basis. Yeah, I just started playing two months so I'm used to playing in C. After practicing the first verse my wrist was in knots. Also, I find the alternate F# easier to play in the key of A. Probably should have started with an easier piece but I like the challenge:)

this is great!!! youre an amazing horn player!! i see you have a strap for your hand to help keep your horn from sliding, i was wondering if you could tell me where i could get one online because ive been searching and searching and i cant find one like yours. when i play my horn always slips away, so if you could send a link or something where i can buy one, also if you could give me some tips on how to improve my range on my horn. thanks!!

yes! start by using a fingering that allows both notes to be hit, like open or 1 for c-d, 1 and 3 for a-g, or 2 and 3 or 2 for f#-g# and so on....it's like a really quick lip slur, so train your face to do it and you'll be blowing minds before you know it :D
