Mozart Oboe Quartet

Introducing Juliana Koch, new solo oboist in The Royal Danish Orchestra (Det Kongelige Kapel). This live unedited performance was part of a Chamber Music Marathon. Recorded at Operaen in Copenhagen, April 2017.

This was the piece that really cemented my love for the oboe. I’d already been playing oboe for a year or two when I heard it on the radio and committed to learning it. Gorgeous.

@@yosserc The principle oboist always needs a hint of narcissism, as with every musician that plays in a symphony.... When we tune everybody needs to shut up and listen :-) And why else would it be that the oboist is murdered first(or the flutist cannibalized) and besides… Somebody has to upstage the percussion section. :-) I don’t another fun note… Research transcriptions of a famous recording of the Mozart Quartet in F with oboe and pipe organ. I welcome Joe and Kamala to our White House now.
