Herreweghe is the best! The one I heard last year at Concertgebouw was slowed down and handled even more delicately. Incredible. Never heard any Requiem so perfect live again.

The Lacrymosa is very balanced but the well known crescendo at 21:48 starts two measures too early!

Church of the Holy Cross in Warsaw, Poland. Unfortunately I don't know when the performance took place.

@@petkoff42 It was the Chopin year 2010, 200th anniversary of his birth, and this performance took place on the anniversary of his death - 17th October. Each year someone performs Mozart's Requiem in the Church of the Holy Cross in Warsaw.

I've played under Herreweghe many, many years ago. He was much clearer then. If he had to portray a conductor in a movie, I don't think they would hire him. LOL.
