Petra, I know this is months late, lol, but I'm in the same boat! I don't want to mess up a doll, though, so I just ordered 10 ping pong balls for $1 on ebay ^_^ I guess I'll put them on clothespin bodies, as I just want practice drawing/painting/sealing on curved surfaces and wigging, ha!

i went to thrift shops and found a bag of 2-3 dolls for less than the price of one. then i got really lucky and picked up another 20 for £7 if you want dolls to reroot/ wig they can be scrappy/ matted as you can fix them and you wont have lost too much if it doesnt work

I have viewed many other wig tutorials but you are - by far -the best. I love that you make the parts first and clip them down while you work on the main body of the hair wefts. Each piece you glue on is neat & precise, unlike most of the other tutorials I've seen where so much glue is splashed on and wefts placed messily. Thank you so much x

These are oddly therapeutic. I must have watched your wig videos a dozen times now. I don't know if it's the music or the work itself, but it's so relaxing and satisfying to watch. (Also, love the colors you used here. Very inspired for a doll I would like to make in the future.)

this is such a thorough tutorial! only in the future, especially if you brush your doll's hair frequently, start at the bottom and work out knots from the bottom up. this prevents unnecessary tugging and reduces wear on the wig.

I was just wondering if you could make the wig cap with darker material/fabric if you're making a darker wig? I know it has to be stretchie, but dose it have to be white or cream like I see everyone using, or can it match the wig its self more closely? I'm planning on the wig I'm asking about being a permanent wig BTW, just in case that makes a difference.
@alexwatson44217 жыл бұрын
You absolutely can use a wig cap that matches the hair colour, but keep in mind dark fabrics can stain certain kinds of resin and plastics. For this reason, it's recommended to use a headcap to protect it!
@pai0097 жыл бұрын
Ok, thanks for the info.
