Enjoyed all of the videos. Curious to get your thoughts on the benefit of this upgrade? There isn’t much of any driveline angles to deal with between the case and rear differential on this vehicle. Keep the videos going!

It was a front slip yoke eliminator. The rear still uses the factory output shaft on the tcase. I did this for the front since the factory designed front drive shaft for the humvee had a slip in it on the same side of the carrier bearing as the tcase. This would have allowed 2 slips in line, which I have heard/read could cause problems.

Any chance you could answer a non-related question? My generator failed, I don’t have the money to fix with a genuine one so I’m thinking of replacing it with a 24v alternator. If say, the hmmwv uses 45 amps(average) in normal operation but I install a 24v with a 70a limit(I know it varies on rpm) what makes it not overcharge the batteries? Not referring to sending 34v but sending 28v at 65 amps? Do even cheap $100 2 post alternators have a regulator?

I'm not sure. Engine alternators and generators are not my strong suit. Might look up the part specifics and see if it has an internal regulator. Id have to do research to figure that one out.

@@tossthewrench gotcha. Just thought I’d check. These things are money pits. Haha
