Awesome video! I'm considering the PTR KFR 32 (16" rifle) vs. this PTR 32P PDWR (and, then, SBRing it like you did). Decisions, decisions... In terms of your video, this was a very well-done, short video that gave the viewer a lot of information without bloviating on and on. I like your sense of humor, too. That overhead shot at night, along with showing the night flash at various distances WAS GOLD!!! I'm looking forward to watching more of our content. SUBSCRIBED!!!

@@nickmitsialis you may be aware but just in case/for others. -300 BO and 7.62x39 are ballistically similar (to your point). The differences are noted below. -300 BO usually performs a bit better out of shorter barrels due to the types of powder used. -7.62x39 actually uses a 0.311 diameter bullet. 300 BO uses a 0.308 diameter bullet -generally speaking, there are more bullet weights available and 300 BO is suppressed easier due to the type of guns it’s chambered in and the heavy bullets offered. -300 BO = 7.62x35mm

Meh, it's an awesome rifle. I just think that for most of us, access to a quality AK has historically be extremely high (in the US at least). I bought my WASRs for between 310 and 320 a piece in the early 2000s - in part because I could afford them and a case of ammo pretty easily (even as a college student). Now it definitely makes more sense to choose something like a PTR 32, because the entire 7.62x39 platform market has basically risen to the point where you're only paying marginally more for a roller-delayed over gas piston.

I bought one of these several years ago but its has the 16 inch barrel. I have the PTR metal hand guard on it and I also bought a surplus HK extending stock and switch back and forth between full size stock and that extending one. The SBR looks cool and it looks like it's a blast to shoot. I just refuse to pay the AFT ransome to lop however many inches off the barrel. You know because for some reason paying $200 and waiting a year or more makes it less deadly than having a 16 inch barrel according to imby's at the AFT

@@jeffh2125 7.62 for home defense??? Lol
@jeffh21252 жыл бұрын
@@aarongrigsby4339Hi Aaron, there's a big difference between 762 x 39 running subsonic vs typical Nato 762x51 or AK round running supersonic. A subsonic ak round at close quarters range is a lot like shooting a 45 acp. It's lethal, but no sonic boom. But I do have a bolt action 308 leaning in the corner of my bedroom that I'd happily use for self defense if needed since I live in the sticks with no danger to neighbors. I'd probably grab my mp5 clone first though, or possibly the 556 bullpup, or even my Uncle's old aluminum frame s&w .38. Nah, not the 38. I'd grab the 308 before that ridiculous .38. You all are really missing the point of my question anyway. Here's what my question meant... IF I had a clip of Hornaday subsonic 762x39 for self defense ( suppressed ) and more clips of supersonic 762x39 for hunting or whatever, I could use one single weapon for both. That's a big IF because getting one weapon to cycle both reliably may be a problem which is why I asked the original question. Another good question would be, why do I want to run subsonic AK when I have no neighbors to worry about and I have all that other firepower? I want suppressed subsonic lethal rounds to protect our hearing in case there's no time to get to hearing protection. And we may be moving some time in the next year or so and I don't know if we will have neighbors to worry about. I'll address the other question that may come, and that is; why try to use subsonic AK when I have an mp5 clone? Answer is that it's my wife's gun, and most 9mm is supersonic anyway at average 1100 fps. And also, I like buying new guns and I'm going to sell the 308. Having said all this; I've already abandoned the idea of getting a 762x39. I've decided to get a suppressed 45 acp pcc ; probably a Kriss Vector G2 6.5". But I'm still pondering that choice. Why 45 acp? Because for home defense, it's very lethal and typical ammo is subsonic; saving our hearing and hopefully our lives. Hope this answers all.
