Here is my MPC 1/25 1967 GTO. This kit was surprisingly decent, given MPC's hit or miss quality issues. Tamiy light pearl blue and graphite top. Hurst shifter added and body side stripes from another Dodge kit.

You've managed to take quite possibly one the WORST kits ever made and pulled off an exquisite build! Nice work my friend. This one's up next on my builds list, fingers crossed

What kit did you scavenge the rear view and side mirror from? I hate it when they don't include the mirrors especially when they provide tons of customizing parts. Nice build, I really like the color.

Couldn't conquer the tailights either, eh?...this really is one of the crappiest models out there,...so, to have it turn out as nice as this one did, l can only congratulate you man.

That's a good looking "Goat" my friend. I see you had the same issue I had with the grille/lights not fitting properly. It must be a flaw in the mold design? Also, I like your choice of paint & color. Tamiya might not have the best shine (finish) but it sure goes on great and leaves a nice thin spray coat. I gave up using Testors spray paints because the cans constantly clog up and the paint is garbage any more! Don't know what they changed but Testors spray paint isn't worth a plug nickel in my opinion. Again, great looking model my friend.

This kit has been around for a long time. I built one back in the early 80's and the body/grill gave me fits. Plus the glass and interior were a problem fit too. I occasionally use Testors, primarily Extreme Lacquer with good results, but it seems like their whole line has been "watered down". We (son/I) switched to Krylon/Rustoleum X2 for clear coating (except with lacquer!) and acrylics for color paint. I really like using Creatix, Valejo, and Amsterdam acrylic ink thru a airbrush. For primer I use Krylon and Tamiya, the latter I use for interiors and engines. Remember, always do Test Shots for paint/clear compatibility.
