Can you go over MIDI for external instruments please? Both recording keyboards which don't trigger pads into the 3000's sequencer and to output the same kind of keyboard MIDI from the 3000 too. I.e not just using the pads to trigger external MIDI.

Thank u! I am also recording single tracks of my MPC to the DAW! But i do not know, if i have to avoid clipping just in the DAW during recording or also in the MPC?? I record to the DAW about -4db. Should I also go -4db in the MPC for every track??? Thanks to everybody who answers..😊

Avoid clipping the DAW just like you said but for the MPC you can either sample clean by avoiding clipping and normalising after sampling or you can push the level higher into the MPC's converters and see if you like the way that the sound changes. Some people like just pushing it a little bit to clip transients and some like to really blow it out with a lot of distortion - it's a matter of what you're trying to achieve musically and what sort of signal you're feeding in. The sound changes a lot with different amounts of overload so adjust the level going in and judge it for yourself.

Hi there I'm in Australia, I've just started using the mpc3000 in honer of Rohan Mansell who created the original vailixi 3.5 coding software because he was a great friend of my brother's so I knew him personally and I didn't get to learn from him before he died RIP. These videos are helping me so much, I love the way you explain things so simply. Represent is one of my favourite beats it was so cool to see you re create that in the first video 😊 I need to put a new backlight In my screen or replace with the large screen, I was thinking of getting the VGA plug in to attach an external monitor? Any thoughts on modifying it to have VGA output for a monitor screen?

Never. I hate time stretch as you hate Tap Tempo! Haha. But besides, I have a good reason. There are no time stretch in the MPC 3000!!!
