I’ve had my MPC live since it came out , and the software ... struggled understanding how to create a workflow- I used to use an old school mpc as the brain to all my keyboards and instruments. This the first video I could clearly understand the workflow and now implement my own ideas. Maybe I’m just getting old but I’m just figuring out how to use this. I used to make Dilla styled beats the hard way. This takes it to another level. Thank you so much for these clear and easier to understand tutorials especially for the old guys 44 like me lol. Y’all just wait about to explode mixing old with new ... not really needing samples ... use myself as the sample and then produce it using these new workflow ideas. Thank you thank you

But how do you then continue programming it into a full song with intro, outro, verses, bridges, etc. I see only tutorials about 8-bar loops, but what would be the next step? Or is the MPC Beats just for making beats and for full songs I should use a different software?

Pretty dope software. The only thing i do not like is that you are only allowed 8 tracks. My drums alone need 8 tracks. More than 2 audio tracks would also be incredible too. I love it. For a free software you can't beat it.

Great vid for this..... question though.... I looked in the preferences tab to locate my loops on my C : hard drive and can not find anywhere in Beats to load my samples. I looked to the far left under the samples tab and it will not give a way to search my folders on my hard drive. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

open the (File browser) then navigate to the 2 arrows pointing up and down at the top of the right side browser. Here you can point MPC to your directory (ie) Ext drive. You also have 5 folder types above this which you can set as defaults.

The keyboard doesn't make sounds it triggers them in the sequencer of your DAW (Literally any Digital Audio Workstation), it's a midi keyboard with pads. Good luck have fun.

Set AUDIO DRIVER to whatever you are using to listen, USB interface uses ASIO or if you headphones direct to computer then choose Windows Sound and select Speaker or Headphone in the box underneath
