Mark Frödtert Ableton. I love the MPC workflow for building the pieces but I arrange and mix in Ableton.

Mark Frödtert yes I export with the 1 second tail to catch any effects on the tracks I.e. reverb or delay if any.

but how do you change time signatures? the metronome is always in 4/4

I would recommend muting as opposed to deleting. This way you can go back and unmute parts if necessary.

Arranger please as I don't want to export to another daw.song mode is okay but tedious as a long time mpc user. Even to put a rapper around the midi and be able to put intro verse etc and to coulour them.its long overdue akai.

The automation is not as "easy" as you say mate. Quite misleading. Need a separate tutorial on automation set up and execution.

How did you do that ah ck tape. Stop effect in the intro while editing ? I've looked to see if there're any native tools that does it but I don't see any on top of that I have third party tools but mpc beats don't see it in the vst scan load up .

MPC beats arrangement mode could be better. FL studio may not be as advanced as MPC beats, but when it comes to arranging tracks, I feel like there's more flexibility and less hassles. I don't have to go into the program in order to layout the tracks. It makes it so much more easier. Hopefully this doesn't fall on deaf ears and an upgrade be made to simplify the workflow

Can anyone help? I feel like i've followed everything in this video but when i try to copy the part where he changes the cutoff frequency change in the drums (around 2:45), I can get the sound to change, but it doesn't record for me. Any tips?

If you put it on read mode at the top right corner and play the beat and automate it where you want, you don't have to record it. It will automatically put it in there for you . Don't forget to change it back to write mode. I believe you want it to be green when you automate. It could be the other way around though ngl. Lol hope this helps?

So the only way to make a song is to copy your beat over and over? What if you need to go back and edit your beat? You have to edit every single bar all the way down the entire timeline? Really?

Other youtubers lik drankkang use track mute. My first few beats i did this way but after usin the track mute feature its easier. I think this guys is jus teaching what he knows about it jus to get you to makin beats but to get real info you hav to go to people that know different techniques

I miss the ability to mute and unmute tracks via pad while recording. It is not practibel to arrange a Song that way...first you make it all full and than erase ? Sorry, thats a joke. And it will never be the arrangement you really want, because you must have everything in your head...no way sorry...that should not be called „arranging a song“. It is just „erase parts, you dont want.😂

That's a pretty horrible away to arrange - why can't you have "regions" or "clips" that you can edit all from one song overview and move entire regions around, instead of editing each individual MIDI event on it's individual track?

You can. Bounce each track down to audio. That's the alternate method.

I think they still have song mode which is an easier way to arrange. I was using song mode earlier.
