If we could only get that FL piano roll with all it's features and editing functionality into the MPC software I'd be in heaven. I suck and playing the keys so that fl piano roll with the key highlighting and ghost notes was awesome for me. Occasionally I still use it to create MIDI files to drug into MPC. I'll do a whole bunch of melodies so I don't have to worry about new melodic ideas for awhile. Then I'll use that midi file to make a beat. Then reuse it again and again to make samples and chops with different sounds. I think as producers sometimes we forget that everything we make is recyclable and sometimes what you make from recycling turns out better than the original. 👍 Just some things I've picked up on in the last couple years. MPC still has a little ways to go to get with the times. But they're getting there and I'm proud to say that I'm MPC GANG all the way! I'm just hoping and praying thins keep evolving and getting better, and workflows get easier. Bought the X 5 months ago than the ONE a month later, and I'm extremely happy with both purchases.

I dont understand how we move from this mode to adding more MPC tracks for the song mode. How do I create more than this one drum track on the mpc for this song? Do I need to make another instance of MPC?

Beating my head against the wall trying to get my MPC Live 2 to work through VST inside FL Studio. There doesn't seem to be one video or post anywhere telling you how to properly route the midi channels inside FL Studio. 4 days of trying to figure this out. I either get the MPC to work (create sounds) and none of my transport controls work. Or I get both to work but then all my other midi devices fail to connect. Or, and this is the best, nothing will work! All the videos are like "Here's the MPC working inside FL Studio..." and then fail to show how in the actual hell they got it setup in the first place... Side note: I did manage to have EVERYTHING working exactly 1 time, next time I sat down and turned on the computer nothing worked again. I made no changes to anything, just worked for some reason, and then didn't. I don't know who to be mad at, FL Studio for not supporting any midi controllers, or Akai for literally advertising the FL Studio functionality and workflow, but then not actually delivering the information to achieve it.

How can I use the FL Studio Piano Roll to trigger a sample-program inside of MPC-Beats? I want to use MPC-Beats to chop samples, yet use the Fl Studio Piano Roll to trigger those chops/samples. The problem is my chops are out of order in the Fl Studio piano roll.

I love it but for some reason i cant resize MPC beats in FL studio, its slightly too big and the 4 pads at the bottom are unuseable. On a 15" laptop screen with max settings 1366 x 788 (highest resolution available). HELP!

I had the same problem but also had the size too large issue with most of my vsts in all the daws i use . I found out I had my screen resolution wrong . i changed to to 1366 x 788 and everything went back to normal size . After i reset the Resolution I restarted the computer . Sometimes the changes don't take effect until you restart the pc. I hope this works for you .

The play/start/record buttons don't work when I use my MPCX (hardware) in controller mode from FL Studio as Main DAW. Not sure why? By itself the mpc software and MPCX work fine together.

today i checked out how mpc beats work as a vst in fruity loops... a lil bit confusing but i think once u know how to its def a cool thing! one question if i get me a mpc touch should i use mpc beats software or the mpc software wich comes with it?

The only problem I keep having when running plugin version of MPC or MPC Beats is that when I press a pad it is not matching in the daw, fl studio sees pad 1 as G#2. In the video I see that is not the case, you guys should explain more on this. In the MPC Beats standalone it works perfectly, but inside fl, the pads are useless right now but I see you have it working correctly so there has to be a way, you guys just did not show that step...

Worst case, play your thing in the MPC standalone, record the result with audacity, export it and import in flstudio as a sample

@@BigSocksProds That is a good idea I but we should not have to do that there should be a way to easily getthe pads to work proprely in any daw . i think they just want you to use theirs .

Are there added benefits if you use MPC as a VST? I use Studio One and Reaper, but all my beats originate in the MPC 2 software. I tried it in Reaper but my MPK Mini was like, nah... Interesting functionality... just not sure how beneficial it is to me in terms of workflow or productivity.

When I open MPC Beats in FL studio I don't have access to any expansions, kits and libraries like you do, but when I open it on it's own not through FL it's there, can you help?

MPC in plugin mode has a reduced interface but you can still access the expansion library.

There’s a bug, when you have beats in FL Studio and select a kit sequence and I save a project when I open same project up again it’s keyed back in different info and loading a different sound pack. I can work round it and load up the pack again but still a bit annoying.

Make sure your MPK mini is set as an active device in FL Studio.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP! I use my Akai Fire to control MPC Beats inside of FL Studio and everything maps up perfectly except pad A04. When I put my Fire in drum mode all the pads match up and can be triggered except A04. Does anyone know how to get my Fire to trigger pad A04 inside of Beats?

after installation -> open FL then go to Plug in manager, scan plugins and tick the box next to MPC beats. hop e it helps

@@albshore8 maybe try reinstalling it and instead of clicking thru ok fast on each step when it gets to VST directory (where it save to in file system) note where on the hard drive it is. install, then open Flstudio, go to Option_>manage plugins and look on the left at "Plugin seath path" . at the bottom of that box click ADD PATH and link it to where MPC vst is saved to. hope that fixes it

Check your Steinberg folder. This should be listed in your "Program Files" folder if you're using Windows (C:\Program Files\Steinberg). The file that you're looking for is "MPC Beats64.dll". You can leave the file in this location or move it to a folder of your choice. Now make sure your plugin path is listed in FL's plugin scan directory (if not, you need to add a new plugin path that contains the MPC .dll file), then rescan your plugins.

Akai installes itself to a non-standard VST folder. 1--In manage plugins, add it in FL Studio: C:\Program Files\Akai Pro\MPC Beats. 2--Scan plugins to find it, Then 3--Use the add it using the channel mixer. Notes: Dragging it from the plugin datbase VST list doesn't work. Hope that helps. I have it working this way.
