Great tut. I’m a newbie on MPC so really valuable stuff. Still can’t grasp the plug-in sounds versus other sounds and why I can only sequence 8 of a plug-in sound. But hey, coming from the Montage and Nautilus workstations this is different. And the Korg and Yamaha sequencers are really archaic, the MPC so much more visual regarding editing notes in the daw like mode/piano roll. Keep it coming thank you for your passion.

Another good video Poli breaking down just how powerful these MPCs are today. It's hard to believe how far AKAI has come these days. (Arranging in standalone on the MPC is more fun than in a DAW for me personally these days. Yeah sure I can do linear arrangements but, using the tactile button work flow on the MPC One just brings me back to the 2KXL).

Okay I’m coming from the Akai force and the reason I love it is that you can have completely different song sections on each scene just like on Ableton. It looks like there is “kind of” a song mode on the key 61 but there seems to be a lot of button pressing? The force is a bastard to use but you can create and see all the different song sections quickly like Ableton. I was so excited when I found out about this thing but I’m not gonna lie I’m massively disappointed…… is there not even a clip and scene mode on the touchscreen?

A song to me has a verse and a bridge. How do you record a verse (let's say made of 5 instuments/sequences) and then record a bridge (let's say 3 instruments/sequences at a different bpm setting) and then hook the two together to make a song? I appreciate what your doing here but it's not a song...it's just activating/deactivating different sequences as the "song" plays.
@PoliPopo2 жыл бұрын
If you want a verse you can put it on a different sequence also the hook on it’s own separate bpm I copied one sequence but in song mode you can tie them all together 💯
