Learnt some new tricks today thank you! Love how there are so many ways to achieve groove for all styles of workflow. When sampling off records, the crackle and clicks in certain spots adds a groove before you even touch the drums, which I love.

Nice, great to hear that! Yes I agree, the crackle and clicks create a very warm, natural groove..

YOU ARE Brilliant my friend! This exactly what i was looking for.. exactly the intuition i was following proved right to buy the mpc in first place... I'm micro timing freak... i lovada swingy ... and this thing, you have just illuminated, is a brilliant extension of the mind! I would love to try and create Brazillian samba swing, or Moracan swing... it seams with these methods anything is possible... i feel i have come home with my mpc one as far as creating the drums and so far an excellent songwritting sketch pad as well... the offset thing is brilliant, just changing the offset at the sample level gives so much control and confines to just the one e and a's and ahhh. . thanks for the video. i would love if any knows any way good ways to quickly (besides by ear) analyse the micro timing mojo in a drummer i love? i think it must just be counting and dancing and moving with it... but i would love an AI that was like "yes the second snare is slightly delayed and the highhat is pushing and slightly less swinging ."

Great video, as usual. Interesting ways to vary the grooves, the possibilities are endless. I think it’s also important to get the right sounds to start tweaking them, because all the effects can enrich the sounds but also can make them sound bad if the source is not good enough. This approach lets you feel the beats more than you can imagine. Thanks again for this excellent content!

For sure! I've been using the 16 levels on the hi hats lately. It's a basic technic,but sounds good!
@PabloDeModeOfficial3 жыл бұрын
@@PeteOnTheBeat That’s right! I’m using it too but also the filter one in some cases. I’ve been using Marrcello’s free drum kit to make some beats and I’ve made one using one of the melodic shots and put the vocal harmonizer effects with choruses, reverb and even lo fi filters and autotune to create a melody, there are so many possiblities!
@Marrcello3 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot! Yeah I find new possibilities almost every time i sit down with the mpc..Absolutely! thanks for your input, Pablo!

Underrated channel. Insanely cool content! My recent issue is not remembering the chord progressions I’ve spent time overlaying over samples. Anyone know any tips or ways of pulling that plugin info up?

Did you use chord function or play on keys? If pads. Pull up the track and go into pad perform.. can you not see the pads being hit?

Yo Cello,not related,but what's the best way to get a full stop on the beat?
@boratezel3 жыл бұрын
You can put a XYFX effect on the master and apply a beat repeat that will hold the master track
@PeteOnTheBeat3 жыл бұрын
@@boratezel but the XYFX on the master track aren't recorded unfortunately,afaik. I was thinking about recording it to zoom and just press stop and play :D But I'm afraid to lose audio quality recording it to the zoom somehow
@boratezel3 жыл бұрын
@@PeteOnTheBeat i have a zoom h5 and the zoom recorders will record the audio no matter what you do, so i would definitely suggest doing that. try messing with the gain levels to make sure you get a clean and not distorted sound. should be better than recording from speakers unless you have a really well treated room. i think you can do it on the master with the XYFX, i will try it again and send you a video of me doing it
@PeteOnTheBeat3 жыл бұрын
@@boratezel thank you! I "only" have the H2N. Dunno if the overall product will come out differently...

Hey PBBBeats, can you explain a little more, do you mean a full stop at the end of the beat ?
