Going over the mpc one sampling and sequencing drums with a bit of mixing, ive been having lots of fun producing and making beats in the mpc one and mpc live 2. being able to sample and chop up records in the mpc one and also use the mpc sequencer to lay down your ideas has been amazing and fun. i have also been mixing my kick drums on the mpc on for a better sounding overall mix. using some of my favorite plugins like the air tube drive, air compressor, and mother ducker as I beat making in the mpc one. i hope this mpc one tutorial/workflow video is helpful as i go oversampling from vinyl into the mpc one.

For mother ducker do you trigger your kicks to the sample so the sample hides during your kick hits or how does it work ?

I love mother Ducker and it’s definitely on comparable versus other ducking plug-ins and any other platform that I’ve experienced but it’s just a little difficult to use them when you’re using drum brakes but this air pump are definitely takes it for me and it does just as good of a job.

Thank you for reaching out and asking this question, volume one was all recorded and processed at new monkey studio, which was ran through their console , volume two was all recorded and processed with the 2000 XL and the analog heat. This is such a great question and I’m glad you mentioned this, yes you’re still able to do it with the MPC one but it’s gonna be a few extra steps and you will not be able to monitor your entire beat plus the signal you’re running through the boxes at the same time you will have to choose to monitor one or the other. The only way I will be able to use it with the MPC one it’s by resampling. I’m definitely going to be doing a video specifically on the signal flow very shortly.
