How would an MPC One/Live work as a regular portastudio? As in recording several minutes worth of audio onto multiple channels? I want to get an MPC to both learn the usual MPC workflow (like what is shown in this video) but I also want to record longer keyboard jamming and put those together for song sketching. Recording one source at a time would work fine so I'm not in need of a multi track recorder. Thanks

@malobeats2 жыл бұрын
Hey brother, thank you so much for the support on the sample pack and also for taking the time to share your input it really means a lot. Absolutely, the zoom H6 has been my go to recorder while I film all my videos. It allows me to connect my MPC and my microphone straight into the zoom recorder so I can record simultaneously and sync it with my camera so I can mix it when I’m editing my video, it’s a little more for the video process side.

Awesome great vid...your tutorials are great I learn something everyday. Question: are you able to change the tempos bpm to speed or slow down your recorded sequence?...I had trouble with it but I think I figured it out...after you converted your slices to the pad go to program edit..hit all pads somewhere on top screen the turn on warp and in bpm section edit the tempos bpm...then you can change the tempos bpm on the main screen to slow or speed...let me know if that's correct and worked thanks...
@lseven792 жыл бұрын
Also another question is if I got a looped sample to assign to one pad to record the loop...how can I speed or slow down the looped sample after it recorded into a 2-4 bar loop?(for ex: 86-100 or vice versa on the main screen) ...much appreciated thanks

How’s it goin man!! I have been using My Mac for Click tracks, I would use GarageBand to loop them, they are only about 6 to 10 seconds long. I transferred them to the MPC one via usb. All I wana do is load them (which I did) and loop them and use them like I did with my Mac, I don’t need to edit or cut them… just wana load them, loop them and save them. How do I do this? When I load them, I think they are loading as Samples, I’m completely new to MPCs in general, any help you can give me would be awesome! Great Vid by the way!!

I don’t see how you can just work with the MPC One with ease. I put mine back in the box. It’s frustrating to me to work with this equipment. I can do a beat quicker and more efficiently on my BeatMaker 2 & 3 app, and Acid Pro software programs. I can’t even get my sample to match the tempo of my project I’m working on. Nice video though.

i like these workflow videos - after a year i still get so reluctant to mess with my mpc because the workflow/menu flow just feels backwards and convoluted to me for some reason (weird, when i can use trackers, daws, elektron etc no problem). this is about the 4th time ive debated parting with my mpc but im trying to build some desire up to take another approach at it. id definitely like a beginner walk through of song work flow. i get so stuck in a technical standpoint with making a track or escaping the one loop syndrome.
