I just wanted to ask you if you figured out a way to remove cracking noise on a recording when you Sample from a record in the MPC Software

Do you know if there is a depth parameter in the filter envelope in the free mpc beats version of the software?
@jorgecds2 жыл бұрын
I have never used MPC Beats but I'd imagine it has to be somewhere there. I think the sampling features are exactly the same from what I have heard. Depth is essential for this trick to work because it basically inverts the filter envelope. I think I will record the whole process again cause some features changed with the last update.

@@jorgecds MPCOne; program edit; filt/env; filter envelope; NO depth parameter. 😑 edit: I discovered the depth knob is now the env knob

you can also use a sidechain duck.

yes or AIR Pumper... there are many ways to get it done

New here, but how do you do it on the hardware?
@cdavilany133 жыл бұрын
What if you add a transient shaper and lower the attack before this process?
@jorgecds3 жыл бұрын
Yes man, AIR Transient does a great job and its something I didnt have back then when I discovered this filter envelope "trick". I think you could add AIR Transient to the program just to tame big transients even more, instead of having to mess with the AMP Envelope. But I wouldnt go too hard on AIR Transient cause it could kill the bass' punch.

Where can I find the AIR transient

Can u do a video on removing the hi-hats
@jorgecds2 жыл бұрын
Yes good idea... I mostly use filters and eqs for that though. Let me work on the video next month.

Sorry for the late reply. Have you found it? Are you using the software? or mpc standalone?
@mintpanda57372 жыл бұрын
@@jorgecds yes I’m still using the software and I just need clearer instructions on how to get to these places on your screen
@TOMJLAEL2 жыл бұрын
Is this possible in standalone mode?
@jorgecds2 жыл бұрын
yes totally! It doesn't require any plugins, just basic program editing and smart chopping.

During step 3 when you say “go to program edit and select all the samples” I can go into the program editor but I can only change one pad at time I’m confused on this part. Using MPC with MPC Studio
@sederquest Жыл бұрын
There’s pad, then program edit in the top bar to select I believe. Pad would be for individually Program edit will do them all as it is a drum program
@spliffsforbreakfast Жыл бұрын
@@sederquest I'm still having trouble. At the very bottom of my screen I can switch from Pad to Program Channel but I still am only able to edit one Pad at a time. I need to actually _see_ what he's doing. He just says it and then edits the filter but he needs to _show_ those couple steps in the beginning of Part 3.

@@spliffsforbreakfast sorry for late reply right I got a bit confused myself actually and got into it to see what’s going on So I’m on mpc stand-alone and in the program edit page you have 3 symbols along the top there. 1 flatten pad 2 edit zones 3 keygroup Your are looking to edit zones…looks like symbol for current location surrounded with a broken box. Hit that and in there you can choose between current pad, multiple pads, or all pads

Or just get izotope rx
@jorgecds Жыл бұрын
I like RX but I don't always have the time to go to my PC and go through the process. It is also hard to find the sweetspot for each song and I can hear lots of phase.
