I love the way the MK3 handles plugins. of them work directly on the device. You have to pop them out on the MPC to control them properly but the MK3 pretty good. I do like the MPC better overall though.

I like how this came out. IMO I think that learning the different pieces of hardware and software only makes you a better producer. This reminds me of the Akai MPC-Roland MV battle a few years back. Those who learned the MV showed how much of a power workhorse it is. Learning both is worth the time.

Does anyone know how to set up the drum pads for the Machine Micro Mk3 in Serato sample ? I only have 1 pad activated in which only plays the beginning of the song please help

Yea. You have to put the MK3 in KEYBOARD mode and change the octave up or down until pad 1 plays the first sample. Then all other pads should work. Thanks for coming through.

@@GhettoStyles another quick question for you, so I put it in keyboard mode then change the root note down to C1 which is the 1st pad Chop at the beginning of the song but once I get to the 16th pad on the MK3 it only goes up to about half way of the song and I'm still left with extra chops at the other half end of the song that none of the pad will pick up , I'm wondering how to use Serato sample so that it only loads up 16th pad chop since the MK3 only comes with16 pads so that play the entire song with out having to change the root note ? hopefully I explain this the best I could . if you happen to know the answer I would greatly appreciate it !

@@brighterdays5731 By default it is set to "FIND SAMPLES" where it picks random points for you. You can set it to "SET SLICER" and kind of pick how many samples you want. Otherwise you would have to change the octave to get to the other samples if it is more than 16.

Ron it’s kind of not a fair question lol I can use the MPC X with my eyes closed. I love how the NKS system handles plugins directly on the device better than the MPC. Both do certain things better.

@@frankwilliams977 I appreciate it. I'm much more comfortable with the MPC line but I am growing with the MK3. I have a lot of the basics down but there are still things that are beyond my MK3 knowledge right now but that will definitely improve over time. KnockSquared was my biggest inspiration to get a MK3.

Frank Williams I think they are both great. The both do certain things better than the other. The MPC line does not require a computer but the MK3 sound library is phenomenal and a lot bigger. I really don’t think you can go wrong either way honestly.
