MPC X vs MPC One with MPC 3? | Don’t underestimate the little guy!

Trying out my MPC one again to see if I should keep it or keep me MPC X to use with the MPC 3 update. Making a hip hop beat with an accapella.

staying away from mpc3 untill they fix some bugs, I really love the mpc that's on there now do to the way they run programs! The new version they rem oved programs but kinda still have it! The best thing is that you can downgrade back to the old Just got my MPC ONE PLUS and I love it!! Great video and beat! they both do the job, I guess it would be if you want the tilt screen or don't! I like the compact and the size of the one not too bulking and don't take up much desk room

Honestly im starting to realize the MPC one is really all anyone needs. It does everything, its saves space being a smaller size, easier to travel with, and its cheaper.

You know that! Best equipment I've bought in years. This is the muscle memory edition due to having the most buttons compared to the live. Easy to use. Got to know the work flow very well, but mpc3 will take it to another level.

There's no comparison The MPC X for the win.............Ability to ad a Hard drive, Screen size, more Q Links for faster editing, Bigger Pads and so much more

The hard drive is unnecessary with 1tb SD cards but the extra q-links are definitely nice. The X takes up so much space and costs so much more though.

I love the bigger screen, 16 knobs and all the bells and whistles, but it’s really the flip screen that makes me lean towards keeping it over the MPC One.

They screen size on the one is all you need lol we don’t watch KZbin or television on it bigger pad doesn’t mean anything when using you don’t think about it .

Just connected a launchpad mini to the phone to compliment koala. Pretty excited. But yeah, MPC Pad Loop function From Main page Track 01>Transpose set to 1. Program 001>Warp samples> Global tab>note on. Samples tab>pad loop on. Including different drum loops in the same mute group to alternate back and forth.

I have koala on my phone… but just like a toy more or less. It has crazy capabilities but I can’t really get into it. More something to fiddle around with for fun.

@trackfammusic2979 i got a stand / holder for the phone coming in the mail, that's like an attachment clip similar to the X's screen setup. It's going to beeee dope. Combined with a 64 pad soundboard oh my gord

I hate menu diving. The main reason I chose the ONE was for the button layout which becomes intuitive over time. (muscle memory) I would prefer an X, but that unit is too large.

Yeah the X is a little too big. Always struggle with space on my desk when I want to use a midi keyboard… even though I have a 32 key mini keyboard.

I bought the MPC - X as soon as it came out in 2017 and was pissed when they brought out the MPC One. Its has all the same features and same size screen and like $1000 less.... f*** you Akai.

The screen is actually way smaller than the X on all other MPCs. But the functionality I agree with. I’ve been using my X a lot lately and it’s actually nice to not have to use the touch screen as much as I find myself doing in the ONE, but not sure if it’s worth the price difference at the end of the day.

Keep the X. I have a Live, X, and frequent access to the One. The X just feels like the mother ship &, with the exception of TC, everything is so easily accessible. I keep my Live for the battery & portability.

@dare2win215 yeah man, I’m coming closer and closer to that decision. Don’t understand what they were thinking with not having a TC button. Do you know there there is a “Shift command”? Or only touch screen? Thanks for the input.

@@trackfammusic2979 Not that I know of. These corporations become so out-of-touch tech blinded that they neglect to realize the convenience of tactility thinking the touch screen was the panacea. SMH. I guess someone got the message by the time the one was conceptualized. Anywho. Keep working!

The One is a very capable machine, i always felt like the X was way overpriced.

Yeah I agree. The MPC X SE is definitely over priced At like $2300. I bought the original X used for $1200 a year ago.

When hip hop really is destroyed...you will be remembered as one of architects who created an alternate universe where wackness is accepted as greatness. Worst thing about the situation is that I pray for forgiveness because I am literally hating hip hop for allowing you take part of a culture that had the most horrible sound quality when began. You should play country music with a ukulele underwater and snorkle 1000 feet in the Pacific Ocean as a great white shark eats away at your mpc using it as a toothpick!
