Great show! I’m super-pumped for Wu and Newage Warpath!!! That NewAge MP DOTM Megatron looks incredible in both modes. I’d also say it’s fairly priced. However, I don’t collect MP figures. If I did, I’d get this. It’d look great with NewAge’s MP DOTM Soundwave.

I think I had to clutch my pearls on the price because my bias kicked in. Not being a fan of the movie look made me think it was expensive but it looks great compared to the source material

14:27 I find what you said about being done with the same G1 designs to be stale to be interesting. I feel the same way. I used to be that guy who only considered G1 to be “real” transformers. But, after all these years of collecting, I finally come to realize that there is a need to new and unique look. That is why when TF One trailer was out, I was so on board for it.

I have a super deformed or chibi style combiner. The Action Toys Voltron. I LOVE IT! Very high quality. You sacrifice posability for cuteness, but it’s really worth it.

Penny Racers (Choro-Q in Japan) were an SD line of pull-back motorised toy cars. They had a slot in the back of them where inserting a coin would cause the car to do a wheelie when it was released. All the Autobot Minicars from 1984-1986 are either released or unreleased Microchange toys which converted into SD toy vehicles.

@@botvscon oh and ot goes without saying, but in a "things coming full circle" thing, the Choro-Q Transformers line by Takara are a subline of the Choro-Q toyline, which the Microchange Mini Car Robo subline were inspired by, which became a subline of Transformers, which has now been chibified into a subline of the Choro-Q toyline.

With STEVEN CAPLE JR. exiting the next movie, I will say this: for all the interviews I've seen with him, he seemed like a real, G1 fan. I fear much of the poor decisions and ideas in the movie from top to bottom were studio mandated notes ( such as that awful rendition of Wheeljack, and many more ), and he simply didn't have the clout to go against it. The flaws and faults really like with Di Bonaventura the producer, and Michael Bay who still has sway in these movies ( unfortunately ). The fault really lies with HASBRO who should NOT allow Paramount to sign off on stuff that does not stay true to the TRANSFORMERS in tone or character ( a problem which goes ALL the way back to BAY ).

Will said. The other aspect is we don't know why he is no longer involved. Could he have put his foot down and said it needs to be this way and the studios (like you regret to) said no, it's this way or nothing.

Thrust isn't transformed correctly. you can see a hing on the wing that looks like it might flip.

It would be nice to have the option for the legs to be lower like tune or more on the back for toy.

I wish they would remake generation 1 transformers with today's technology and chronologically correct. I'm thinking it would be a great cartoon for the kids and grownups to start from the beginning of the original series butt clean up all the mistakes

As someone who is absolutely fine with Action Masters and Pretenders, I am absolutely happy with my original Action Master Mainframe. As for Tidal Wave, his face looks okay. But aside from that, especially in terms of price, at standard price he'll be I think the fourth Titan I've skipped (Ark, Nemesis, Metroplex, though I did get Metro for about 90 euros and he's a different character in my headcanon with a spark harvester as alt mode). Unless he can be found at a significant discount, which is probably what it will come down to. What I would find wild would be an IDW2005 Tidal Wave that becomes a whale. Unfortunately not realistic.

I like the idea of DNA, but in practice I don't like spending as much as a figure originally cost to make it decent or in the case of mpg, I don't think a $1000 combiner should need an add on kit to work.

Can we get some movie designs that reviewers aren't constantly saying, the robot looks like crap but that is spot on to the movie?

The individual bots aren't small which is confusing. Hot spot is huge.

I have no faith in Hollywood to produce a decent movie but I do like Hemsworth as an actor. Hopefully they cast him as Hawk, at least if they want this to have sequels. Still not convinced that the MPG line won't be smaller than MP overall but we'll know for sure soon enough. Got to agree with Bobby on that ES Elita1, she's more waffle maker than Autobot. On a new TF show, I agree with James in that I hope they produce a show for both adults and children. The key is having a good story, which for the most part they don't seem capable of.... On the mini Predaking, James' definition of "reasonable" is very subjective.....lol $200 for a Deformed Predaking, but $120 for Tidal Wave...... can't say I argue with that, it's just humorous......😊 On the NA Dinos, for me, Swoop was the smallest but he does seem a little too small. The Bayverse Jetfire is a travesty and I do what I can to block out its existence......😊 On mpu Thrust, think I saw a pic where the wings can be angled back. Which helps; it is accurate but I would have preferred Thrust's wings on his back. Couldn't the photographer dusted that table before taking the combiner comparison pic??? MMC is smaller in combine mode (I think around 16") compared to other companies (usually about 20") but the individual bots look great, to me. Great show guys 👏

I don't have faith either... Bobby's the optimist here. We need to see new figures in the MPG line before I make an opinion on whether itll be smaller or not. Those prices are what make sense to me, we all know that almost any 3rd party offering sill have better paint and QC than a Hasbro Titan... Besides current Maketoys. The Swoop looks OK, but he should be a bit bigger. MMC Defensor looks good, and would fit into my collection. But I can see why people with combiners like Bobby would be disappointed. Steven Caple Jr made a great and I mean great shitty TF movie...in comparison the Bay movies were Masterpieces... I can probably go in and write a dissertation on this subject...

Yes, Newage made a movie Soundwave. As much as I like Newage as a Legends company, I am not a movie fan. So even though I think the figure and alt mode are exceptional, I will not be buying this product. I am happy for those who like that sort of thing because it is a top shelf toy... just not my cup of energon.

Lil 80s me could smell if something was a turd. "Grown up" me sure as hell can. Transformers One is a turd. The toys are turds. Hemsworth being anything Optimus is a turd. If my son was younger than 12, I still wouldn't subject him to that ish. I'd just show him the 84 movie and leave it at that. Lol
