Just tried to do it by ear and wanted to look up some vids (just to double check my work,... not that I need to, you understand! ahem but just to be sure). But I went for the Major9 chords too, myself. Not that I knew the name of them, but I know the chord.. lol So...yeah. That's what I thought it was, too. Although either way works, for sure. But I prefer the sound of that. Edit: the only chord I'd do differently is the 3:17 Pohohohohny chord. I don't know the name of it but's like a min7 without the 5. So 2X222X. But it's like 99% the same chord anyway, they both work equally well. It's just nice to have options, I think. Mix things up.
