I'm sure Regina didn't want to drink that potion, she has an exceptional maternal instinct, but she wasn't thinking clearly at the time and she drank it just to spite Cora knowing that she was going to suffer the most, she didn't done because he didn't want her own children. Sure, it was Regina who wanted to drink it, but it was her mother who made her feel unloved...

In the story they could also have made Regina drink the waters of Lake Nostos. Snow White drank the potion that King George gave her but healed by drinking the waters of the lake, and so she was able to have children. So, why didn't they also do it with Regina? She's so sad at the end when she saw Zelena holding Robin's daughter:(

So I wouldn't be judging robin about being jobless or home because all these other characters doesn't really have a job and is living off others.
