Can I also add - Forgiveness to oneself is also crucial. Be compassionate enough with yourself, that you always put yourself in another person's shoes. And compassion is a fruit of forgiveness. And patience comes with compassion. 🥺💯♥️

What Brenden said about Mrs Mom and how he described her is so wholesome and pure. And he's definitely correct in saying that is why people gravitate towards her....she's just a beautiful spirit🥰❤

You see, I've learned that love is about building. And to build, you work with the good, and grow from there. Once you capitalise on the good score, every good thing gradually falls into place, and it can go so far as to people even letting go of bad habits and toxic cycles without being aware, and most importantly, without feeling attacked. So I believe it's important to keep the good score and enhance that. Basically giving credit where it's due, and acknowledging the other person. I believe that's one of the things that makes two one - when you are able to build each other's character without projecting, forcing or attacking. A beautiful, refreshing conversation. This duo is my favorite 💯🥺❤️

I used to think that these 2 specific verses about forgiving 70 x 7 and turning the other cheek when someone wrongs you was just bonkers. Also hearing people say “God forgives I don’t” or “try Jesus, don’t try me” contributed to my thought process regarding those verses. This year I heard the voice of God more clearly than I’ve ever heard it before. Those two verse are Gods love letter from Him to us, the purest manifestation of love there will ever be. What God was saying is that our human and sinful nature will always want us to retaliate but because God wants nothing but peace and Joy and love for us he want us to be selfish in keeping that joy and peace and love by not letting the things of this world taint what he wants for us. What I heard as clear as day was that turning the other cheek or forgiving 70 x 7 is not actually for the other person because we have no control over that but rather it is for us to continue to thrive in our own thoughts and to continue to live a life contained in the fruit of the spirit.

Loved that Mrs Mom used Will Smith as an example when it comes to understanding why people behave in a certain way. Reminds of the book I read “what happened to you”. I believe our experiences in life shape our behaviour.

Funny enough I'm doing a forgiveness meditation. It's only been a few days but yesterday someone stole my blanket from the washing line. 🙃 did I not want for God to "calmly" deal with them. I quickly came to the realization that a person who steals does so with the intention to Have, and so, to take from you. In their minds it's about them. So I stopped asking around for the blanket and I'm back focusing on my "forgiveness meditation". A lot of honesty is needed, considering I'm exactly how Mpoomy was like, I keep score and let everything out all at once. (I've been working on this habit for the past year) and everytime those traits show up I'm like 😬 OOPS. Anyways my chat is there's a reason why this video came out during my forgiveness meditation season. 🧘‍♂️ thank you for sharing this light.

So glad I only listening to this now, had a debate with my sister last night about our upbringing and how things still are, I've been looking for grace from my family as I've so freely given them, but I realize now I'll never receive it, I just need to embrace the situation for what it is. When you put others first you teach them that you are second, and they can never learn to put you first.

Joh I have never seen forgiveness as setting someone free. I have always seen it as setting myself free. But I do realised now that you can forgive and completely let things go but if you don't let the person know you have forgiven them and they are still held prison by what they have did to you because they don't know they have forgotten

Haha, "The Pastor Who Stole Our Money" sounds more like a title to a book filled with todays lessons. But anyway, there is really alot to work on myself. And I love how this challenges us to be Christians who actively make effort to better ourselves and our relationships with our society.

Thank you for this podcast. As much as I am married for 25 years, there are still areas that you talked about here that I still struggle with. But I am glad that you said much that it made me do an inner search and work them out. We learn every day and wisdom is always appreciated all the time, especially when it is referenced from the Word of God: it builds healthy relationships and opens up honesty to self

couples that watch this podcast together about marriage, really benefit a lot, they learn a lot especially men.Bredon has so much wisdom to making marriage blissfull, especially in an era of woman who are empwered, who has opinions, who can express themselves.some men, almost a lot get intimidated of such women.we can be superwomen but still submit and love our husbands, but some men has a tendency of diming wives light because they feel insecure.

Wow! So much wisdom. Forgiveness really goes a long way. It takes accountability, selflessness and also taking into consideration the bigger picture. I think this relates to what you said in the previous podcast that sometimes you think you're winning an argument but you're losing the battle , in this case you're losing yourself, because you're depriving yourself of joy and peace.

Going back to the issue of the Pool Pastor. I think as much as we are forgiving ppl. Sometimes forgiving these ppl who keep on doing wrong to us , we are enabling them becoz they are going to keep on doing it to others. So if we are not hard on them, they won't learn that what they are doing is wrong. So there is nothing wrong with going back to ppl and make them take accountability of what they did. In my field of study we call it Reinforcement.
