I have these and love them! I've used them around my tent campsite as well as strung up in my car when we sleep in the car while camping.

Keep in mind that there are also "stand alone" units by anpro that look exactly like the Mpower units, but don't have a power source, but instead you can plug straight into a Jackery generator or similar via USBA - this way you can have a few days without worrying about charging. I use my Jackery 300 generator to charge phones and power lights when camping and it works well. (Not great for backpack camping though because it's heavy ) I switched to the latter method after my M power set just shut off in the middle of our camp cook out because the battery was exhausted. It doesn't slowly get dimmer and dimmer, but just shuts off when it detects a certain lower voltage.

I am looking at getting one of these but couldn't decide whether I should get this or the coloured light version, since I only really need a white and amber lights when camping. Pity they didn't have a version which have just these two colours. Thanks for another great product review.

My solar doesn’t work, how can I make it work?
@SnowysOutdoors Жыл бұрын
We cant really troubleshoot without having more information sorry - the solar charging will take longer than plugging it into a wall socket. You can use the battery indicator button to check on the battery progress ~ Lauren

Real quick, how long is a centimeter? And by 320 grams you mean weighs as much as a PlayStation controller?
@SnowysOutdoors7 ай бұрын
A centimetre is 10 millimetres or 1/100th of a metre. I'm not sure how much a Playstation controller weighs, but I imagine it would be similar. ~ Ben

I bought one tonight. I just wish it was more rugged. It could at least have some rubber bumpers to take impact on a campsite. A magnetic mount would be good too. Maybe I can mod it.
@SnowysOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
These aren't specifically designed to take impact, they are however designed to offer functional light. They are still constructed in a durable fashion, but I don't think their use case calls for rubber bumpers. ~ Ben

@@SnowysOutdoors like there cool and all but for the price and length compared to saving coin and budgeting I think I'll grab some Xmas lights again they go full length around gazebo and that's what 3meters a side X3 without going over the back of Subaru were boot comes up ...see my setup on my channel Benny .....cheers mate

@@SnowysOutdoors ok I just did some camping mythbusting.....the Luci Lux pro is brighter than these string lights? 🤯🤯🤯 135 lumens the lux has compared to the string lights which is 100 lumens ..... What was you saying about fairy lights mate lol Jesus they really do need to make some brighter string lights or something or I'll just get 4 Luxs and hang in each corner of gazebo?
@SnowysOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
@@TasHikingAdventures I'd say that 100 and 135 lumens is reasonably comparable. You are comparing a single light to s string of lights. I'm not sure exactly how they would measure the lumens of a string light, but I imaging it would be much more scattered than a single point. At the end of the day, they are all designed to give off just enough light to find your way around rather than do tasks under. ~ Ben
