My question is what happens to a host when they subject themselves to a weakened virus and their immune system fail them and that virus strengthen and grows and possible come more alive possibly feeding on internal parts to survive. After all this weakened virus now have things to feed off of if it survived your immune system. Why don't we ever hear about the reality of one of these weakened viruses surviving and what are the results and risks if your immune system failed to contain this weakened virus? Why don't you give me a real response from your understanding and not what any higher up of yours is telling you to give us.

I could sure use some good advice while I'm waiting for a callback from my physician. I'm straight, but I was suckered into taking the vaccine for monkey pox through bad advice from medical personnel. Monkey pox actually affects only gay and bisexual men. But now, I'm having some very serious side effects. The first symptom affected my diet. Now I only crave bananas. Second, it's' affecting my appearance as well. I'm getting shorter and my arms are getting longer and my hair is growing all over like crazy. My face resembles Lancelot Link, secret chimp. I can't reach my pedals in my car now. I'd be afraid I would be pulled over anyway, and then tossed in some zoo somewhere, never to be heard from again. Same with answering the door. Thank God I'm retired. I'll just have to have everything delivered until I find out what Fauci has to reverse this. A neighborhood dog told me to stay away from Fauci. He said he had some friends tortured to death by Fauci. He seemed serious and had fear in his eyes. Sounded like good advice. I've been on a dating site, but I guess they will have to come here for our first meeting, so I can break the news of my hopefully temporary setback. I hope she won't let a little thing like this stand in the way of our relationship. I want her to know I'm serious and not just monkeying around. I can't wait to watch her eat a banana. Hopefully, previews of coming attractions. Next week, I'm supposed to take the bird flu shot. I hope I don't have side effects from that too. I'll be like a flying monkey out of "The Wizard Of Oz." @@thetruthalwaysprevails There is a thing called progressive vaccinnia where smallpox vaccines, which contain a greatly weakened cowpox-like virus, escape the control of the person's immune system and can be life threatening. Those cases are extremely rare and affect people with severe immune system disorders like leukemias or advanced HIV. They also only occurred with older smallpox vaccine technologies like ACAM2000 or Dryvax prior to that which work by giving patients an active vaccinnia infection. The newer smallpox vaccine which also is used against Mpox, Jynneos, does not carry even this remote risk. The virus in the vaccine is not replication competent. It's been passaged hundreds of times through chick embryo fibroblast cell cultures to the point that it simply cannot reproduce itself properly in mammalian cells. It can express its genome and replicate that, but it cannot form viable new virus particles that would otherwise be released from infected cells to carry on the infection.

A really good question! Depends what you mean by "worse". If you mean symptoms, then it depends completely on each individual and if they have underlying reasons for a more serious infection or complications. If you mean the impact on the global society, then it's still difficult to tell at this stage. It's unlikely, given how it transmits, that we'll end up in a lockdown anything like COVID. The only thing that's certain is that we must stay informed and prepared for the unexpected.
