How will the 90 day trail introduction reduce the rise of unemployment and by what %?
@skovdzschitt3230
@skovdzschitt3230 9 ай бұрын
It doesn’t, it’s a policy that benefits business, not employees. Right-leaning governments operate on the ideology that it’s better to give tax dollars and benefits to ‘private’ businesses and corporations because (tired and worn) trickledown theory says it will be redistributed to the public through job creation and wages. The purpose of the policy is actually to push up the unemployment rates. Low unemployment = higher wages; as employers do not have a ‘replacement pot’ of people desperate for work, so they must be fair in work conditions and pay. High unemployment = lowering of wages. With more people looking for or needing work, the attitude of employers is supported to take the position you (employee) need us, we don’t need you.

@@AnthonyFlack No, I worked in Australia before and their unions set up are different, they also have a better system for planning retirment compared to our KIWISAVERS, also Australia has an open door policy for Kiwis cos we integrate better compared with otherS coning from other regions. Australia is pretty competitve on a global scale. If one has good education and the right skill sets, one can command good pay. Their taxes are high though and their housing rents are really crazy. I still prefer Singapore, taxes are super low, rents are high but one can still find rooms to rent and food is sooo much cheaper. Everything is expensive in Australia. alot of homeless now and high crime rates with poor gun control. But the Labour party really set NZ back. After living in several cities, I can only say fair pay agreements does not work in real life. Our ability and best defence to earning more money is to add value to our job through lifelong education and learn how to do investing. In Singapore, their govt provide grants to small and medium companies to embrace technology and AI, hence instead of hriing say 2 ful staff and part timers, the business owner can just cut down to 2 full time staff or 1 full time staff and a part timer in a pet shop, AI will capture the data and plan for re-ordering and........ NZ is suffering now because this social tap has been open for too long and Kiwis are losing their competitive age on a global market and those kids that are not attending school and learning but instead are vaping and taking part in climate protest, are doing themselves the greatest diservice and using Covid is the worse excuse cos Asian students on the whole fared very well on the recent PISA test, European, Australia and Australian kids are so behind. Dontl believe me, goggle a PSLE MATHS PAPER and attempt on solving those maths questions. PSLE is a major exam for a 12 year old kid in Singapore. I think we better wake up cos we are letting the world go by. Now time for me to learn the maths so that I can teach my grandchildren who are living in NZ and will be entering nursery school soon. Many westerns do not value good education anymore.
