MQB MK7 AINAVI Android Radio Overview

Nothing crazy here just wanted to show anyone looking into these some brief info.
This is the H6 6GB 128GB model from AINAVI on Aliexpress. These stereos come plug and play, direct fit with a new bezel, and loaded with options.

Hello, I want to ask about the quality of the radio, because some units have poor sensitivity and FM stations are retuned and hum

The information about all these are very easy to find, people are just incredibly lazy and want to be told everything. You are right though, the snapdragon 665 cpu and uis7862 cpu are the two best ones on the market. 6gb of ram will make them very fast and responsive. 4gb is good but no less than 4gb.

Can you change the "widgets" on the home screen? For example instead of the car and the speed can you put waze? Thnx

@boostedturd Can’t get the reverse camera working. Followed the directions for setup and looked in every menu for more adjustments but no luck. How did you get yours working?

You have to change the camera input in one of the settings menus. Next time I’m at my car I’ll look and let you know. Don’t remember which one off the top of my head

Under the factory tab, i do not see alot of the factory settings and options. Is it possible to access those? Have you found out how? I installed my radio this am and i do not see factory settings. Im going to keep looking but any info would help. Thanks

Can you do a walkthrough of your stereo? I am trying to find out if i need the dts option or not. I already have a stereo in the car so the 48 band eq will be nice but do i really need the dts.

The DTS isn’t totally necessary just a nice feature. Both options have tons of tuning options and sound great

Does the adapter for fender audio com with it? If not is there a specific radio unit I have to buy or do I have to buy it separately???

Doesn’t come with it, but they sell the optical conversion box for fender systems. When you look at the listing they’ll show how to purchase that separately

I installed this headunit in my golf mk7 and everything is working except the drive mode select button. When pressing the button it does not toggle between normal, sport, eco, individual etc. If anyone else has this issue or found a solution please let me know. Cheers

Have you checked the canbus settings to make sure the correct vehicle is selected? This is one of my concerns moving to this aftermarket units.

How well does ST work on it?

So on my old H5 ST worked great with BLE connection. For whatever reason the H6 didn’t support the BLE protocols needed so the creator of ST released an update with USB support. So now it works fantastic. I ran a USB cable through the dash to behind the radio hooked to the dongle
