My brother growing up had lionel trains which included the milk car and platform. Also had the cattle car. I think I was more fascinated with them then him.

Thanks for including the Supplee milk cars Supplee milk was the largest (95%) of the famous Pennsylvania Railroad milk train, which most people have forgotten of My family sold milk to Supplee and the company owned the milk cans themselves, which is why the cans are hard to find Huntingdon and Broad Top Mountain Railroad, the PRR’s only friendly connection, hauled Supplee exclusively, and H&BTMRR shipped milk from Huntingdon to Bedford shorter distance than PRR could on their routes, when The H&BT went out of business in 1954, that inadvertently caused Supplee to eventually go out of business; when Supplee tried to ship milk on PRR instead of going the shorter route that was no longer there, the milk went bad too many times, so PRR banned milk altogether, and Supplee eventually went out of business ; after getting out of the railroad business in the late summer of 1954 and unsuccessfully reusing their company trucks to compete with milk trucking companies already in the state of PA mainly, they eventually went out of business in 1957

The first time Lionel cataloged the General American milk cars was 2001-2002 when the Century Club NYC Niagara. Honestly the scale milk cars are really great. Two of the harder to find General American milk cars are both numbers of the Sheffield Farms cars. I'm hoping that Lionel will make some of the Borden's butter dish milk cars soon. They would go great with my milk train.

Hi Mr. and Mrs Mullins. I bet it took about 30 yrs to build that whole set up. It really looks nice. I was a kid in the 1960's when we would get the glass milk jars. I think they came in a crate of about 6 jars. Those were the good ole days for sure. Really like the history of the railroad. I really look forward to more of your videos. Thanks again

Im curious to know why the B&M and Rutland lack a car#, weight, ect? Was that prototypical for milk cars on those two roadnames?
