The running gag throughout the film is that he is the only one able to take down the high-tech bad guy because he doesn't have a digital footprint, but because he refuses to modernise he constantly causes more problems. He picks the Aston because a) It sets up a plot point where he runs out of fuel chasing an EV, and b) That's one of Rowan Atkinson's actual cars that he owns irl!
