Besides, even if you want the person you're interviewing to go down in flames, a kind interview at least puts some of the person's responses on the record and thus can be used against them when they lie and change their narrative in the future.

@ryelor1232 ай бұрын
Actually, "I didn't know" DOES excuse you from negligence and gross negligence. It just doesn't shield you from liability. Negligence implies you knew about a problem and ignored it. Firing people who brought up safety issues is how dangerous workplaces tended to get away with injuries and deaths on the job over 100 years ago. Then some rich guys owned a dam that burst and the controversy resulted in courts caring more about strict liability than merely questions of negligence when bad things happened.
@StreakyBaconMan2 ай бұрын
@@ryelor123 I don't now where you got this idea from. It can often be considered part of your duty of care over someone to know certain things, and not knowing them is negligence in and of itself. For example if you ran a child care facility and unknowingly hired a person convicted of child abuse you'd still be guilty of negligence because you SHOULD have known - it should have come out when you ran the criminal background check. Even if you argued "I didn't know I should have run a criminal background check" the courts would reject it, because a reasonable person would have and that is enough for the courts to conclude you should have too. Saying "I was young and dumb and didn't know any better" isn't going to get you out of things. The courts do not take into consideration how dumb you are when determining your responsibility. They only consider how dumb the average person is.

@@VexCuomo No. How about actually using your brain a little before making assumptions / allegations? A person with multiple sociopsychological conditions including ADD and autism has an empathetic sense many times stronger than that of the "average" person - direct confrontation becomes nearly impossible unless a loved one is being threatened or a topic is raised that the person is extremely passionate about. Same here, at first Caleb was super biased towards mr beast when it was first starting, then he interviewed dog pack and changed his tune, then and I don’t know what changed- he all of a sudden made a video trying to highlight how dog pack and Rosanna pansino were wrong and it seemed like he cherry picked what he wanted and brushed over major details (he even said he did by accident) and what pissed me off the most was that he literally stated in his video that this is unnecessary drama and that he didn’t want to be involved anymore and then BAM, he does an interview with mr.beast. When every KZbinr was commenting about him glazing, after seeing the dog pack video, I defended him in a comment and said that now he’s looking at it from both perspectives since interviewing dogpack. I’m starting to regret even defending him. He just keeps screwing himself over and I don’t know why he feels like he needed to do this if he had no time to prepare and was only really opening space for Mr.beast to gaslight and manipulate him. The whole foot on the table thing just showed me he had zero respect for him, and yet it seems oompa adores him or thinks highly of him. I wish him luck cause I think he’s almost at a point where people will no longer listen to his own views or perspective since he’s biased. I wish he realized that to Mr.beast, he’s just another channel, just another KZbinr or person he can use, Mr beast didn’t even choose him at first. I just was really disappointed, he seemed like a nice guy, but I just think he needs to stay out of this.

In my opinion, I think that oompa doesn't deserve any hate at all, it was MrBeast already who knew that he isn't an experienced journalist, that explains why he chose him and not Coffeezilla, all the blame should go to Jimmy

He chose this, let him enjoy it
@CoOlKyUbI962 ай бұрын
Personally I like Oompa, but I do think it is fair to criticize him. Just because he isn’t an experienced journalist, I don’t think he should get a pass for performing so poorly. If Oompa had enough self awareness to know he isn’t an experienced journalist, he definitely should have looked up a bit on how to be better. There are plenty of KZbinrs who aren’t experienced journalists, yet don’t behave as poorly as Oompa did. Oompa almost gave no pushback at all, asked a lot of softball questions, didn’t bring up several big important allegations, and overall Mr Beast was the one in control of the interview. Not the other way around
@undeuxtrois1232 ай бұрын
Oompa puts on a nice guy act and y'all are falling for it. He's himself being very disrespectful about this and treats this like mere drama his channel can also profit of with views/attention/launch of his video company. There are real victims of Mrbeast, and Oompa is not taking this seriously at all and rather mocks it. Gross. He deserves backlash if any.

Thank you for doing this video Mutahar, because it needed to be done. i truly liked oompa, and i gotta admit, when i watched that interview, i rage unsubscribed to him. but i know its not his fault. They picked him because he is a good person that they knew they could use because that's what bad people do to good people in this world. I have a young nephew who i love dearly and is kind, loving, honest, and compassionate, who loves Mr Beast, and believes in everything he does. I dont even know how i could tell him that he turned out to be just another in a long, long, long line of You Tube Liars, Scammers, and Grifters, who use their platform not for good, but for money making greed, and you tube perks and ratings, with no, limits, no scruples, and no Accountability whatsoever. People who run amok scamming fans out of hard earned money, filming dead people, crashing cars, and traveling the world making fun and disrespecting other cultures, and, get nothing but one day suspensions and the minimal slaps on the wrist you tube can manage. Why? Because all they care about is cold hard cash, frak the kids, the fans, and what it shows people, and, the damage to our society. What Damage, you might say? Well have a good look around folks, and see how bad things are, and how much worse they are getting and you can all see for yourselves And the kids that are growing up with this shit now, learning that money is god, that honesty means nothing, and that lies and scams is the real way to "make it big", and look good to your friends and to society, I believe is something we will all, come to regret. We are empowering a generation of Vipers, instead of going forward, our species is going backwards... Gene, I'm so sorry we Failed you, your vision, and what we could have been.

Some people saying oompaville shouldn't of been the one to interview him, but he gave Jimmy SUCH a lowball that it made him over confident enough to LIE about information with evidence to his lies, he was the only one to convince jimmy to feel comfortable enough to even get any of this "take my word" information from mr beast to come out. Given feasibility to more questions and his true colors showing through when put on the spot.
@itz.wi112 ай бұрын
If it wasn't meant for him then it wouldn't of happened.
@lucg40052 ай бұрын
Yeah, those questions at the end were from coffee, not oompa. If coffee didn't come in with the last minute save, then the interview quite literally would have absolutely nothing. But yeah, at least oompa did follow up with those questions, he's got that going for him I guess.
@itz.wi112 ай бұрын
@@lucg4005 he's got the entirety of the interview going for him there's no need to downplay it. He was in conscious direct contact with these people to help himself form additional questions. Being the reason Coffeezilla, Mutahar "SomeOrdinaryGamers", and as such additional people such as Brandon Buckingham and oompas Girlfriend Kallmekris, we're all involved to benefit to the possible questions being asked towards James in the interview. It made complete sense for Oompaville to not only take this limited opportunity to interview Mr beast, giving us shreds of any form of answer that hadn't been previously given. But even more so with the position he made for himself as a gateway for the KZbinrs Jimmy "MrBeast", wouldn't of been giving any chances to ask questions or interview him to begin with. MrBeast had clear time to PR these possible questions, and as has been said over multiple channels had complete lack luster attempts when it came to directly addressing things, taking accountability, and framing certain scenarios and things he has said previously in a realistic/unmanipulated context, Such as his position within the Crypto Wallet Account. This is one of the best possible ways the interview could have gone about, because it isn't being let go as James had interpreted multiple times in the Interview, that things would end up paving out now that he finally made attempts to address what everyone has questioned for multiple months continuously now. This has allowed everyone to read the situation better, while visibly and audibly giving you context on how MrBeast is going about handling the situation currently. You can see him make attempts to coat over topics, to make the severity of them seem minuscule, to take no blame and have an excuse for not just some answers, but even answers that unanimously are agreed to be MrBeast positioned in the wrong... that he simply cannot accept from a critical and factual standpoint. You're allowed your opinion but the highlight of Oompaville being a key role in this objectively going as right as it has shouldn't be ignored. It took a lot of key players to hit MrBeast with enough questions and ones worded correct enough in as a comfortable environment as they could get MrBeast in. Instead of gaining nothing we're continuing to gain sight in a lack of morals and character from the questions answered so far. Now instead of it being not talked about, it's being talked about more than ever, with room for questions to be answered with true feasibility if enough continued pressure is applied. And that is still something.

I love Oompa, but the whole interview was just MrBreast saying something and then Oompa nodding "yup, sounds good to me, ok no other questions on that topic" People seem to think that some invalid criticisms completely undermine all the very legitimate ones When the only thing you really can say to defend someone is "well, TECHNICALLY he didn't violate the Geneva convention" I feel like it's a lost cause, but MrBreast could retire without earning a single penny for the rest of his life, and he could still live a very luxurious life

Its rather telling during the whole interview Mr Beast keeps framing oompas interview as this is the "be all, end all" to all the allegations surrounding Beast. Unfortunately, when you give half truths and completely dodge others you certainly have something to hide.

i just found out in one of the latest pegasus video where pegasus told jimmy that he should do this "response" with oompa after asking pegasus to do interview with pegasis. idk how significant that was, but if jimmy's first target of doing interview was with pegasus, i feel like he's most likely trying to find the 'safest' way to do response-no-response thing all along and avoid someone like coffeezilla or the critical one
