今日はミスチルの「しるし」を英語で歌ってみました♪
今回は英語にするのがちょっと難しかったです！
色々考えて作った英語バージョンを気に入っていただけると嬉しいですヾ(≧∇≦*)ノ
作詞作曲した桜井さんによると、歌詞は恋愛真っ只中の二人の物語、又は別れた二人の物語のどちらにも取れるように書いたそうです。ちなみに『１４才の母』の主題歌でしたが、たしかに私が一番最初に見た日本のドラマだったと思います♪

日本語の歌詞って遠回しだったり比喩表現だらけだったり 隠してこその美しさみたいなこだわりもありがちで（ミスチルは少ない方だと思うけど）英訳するのすごく難しそうなのに 原曲の詩に忠実で本当にすごい…！言うまでもなく歌声もすごく素敵！

ネイティブの方が英訳するとやっぱりしっくりしますね 自分はミスチルのNot Foundを英訳しましたが 字余り字足らずばかりという感じで ぎこちなくてとても世に出せません… まあそもそもミスチルは字余り時足らずばかりなのですが…

日本語から英語にする時は、ほとんどの場合は字が足りなくて、自分で考えて何かを加えないといけないので、想像力を使う必要があって、曲の意味を深く考える必要もあると思います。難しいですね(^_^;)　でも逆に英語から日本語に訳す時は、色々切って簡単化しないといけないのでそれも難しいです(笑)
