Phil Norman I meant it about Tommy being a great drummer, but was joking....I wish there were so much more video of Randy too. I did find a few others shot by someone in the crowd so kind of poor quality. I appreciate the Fresno Media Restoration vids. He had video from Selland Arena back to the late 70s...some decent restored video from a decent seat, I particularly like the 78 and 79 VH shows there restored enuf to get a feel what it was like. ...they played Selland for Van Halen II before the album came out. I love Randy but there is only one King....EVH.

Randy and Rudy did more with 10 strings then the next ten big bands did with 30 people. It’s amazing how Randy had a plan, invent a new type of metal/rock to get his licks in then he was going to spend his life teaching kids music. Goddamn shame he was taken so early. I’d gladly trade my lame life if he came back.. world deserves it

Blows me away that this exists...I was 16 and near the front row by Randy. Still have the Randy Rhoads T-Shirt from the show. It's a Medium so probably would explode if I tried to wear it. Before the show, there was a delay in opening the doors to Tingley and crowd became crazed and a borderline riot. Beer and Liquor bottles were being hurled at the police and smashing against the building before the doors were opened while the crowd chanted, "Ozzy!... Ozzy!...Ozzy! One of my favorite concert memories...thanks to whoever posted this one.

@jimgodofbiscuits2 жыл бұрын
Joan W Bob Daisley is a bass player first off...he played bass on Ozzy albums, toured as bassist for BATM, at least where I saw the show...had only seen Rudy before that....but most of all he wrote most of the Randy era songs and maybe has some vested interest. P.S. the drummer here is legendary Tommy Aldridge

Such a shame, as Randy is still one of the most influential musicians of the 20th and 21st Century and his memory should be kept alive... and not swept under the carpet. His songs are indelible and have definitely made a mark on rock world... forever!

Some people don't want to be hounded to sell it, and others want an astronomical price, and yet others don't want to post it for basically free on KZbin, and then there is Sharon, which will NEVER let any of their footage be released because Ozzys voice is not up to par on some of it, and plus she's just a evil b-i-t-c-h on top of it.

fuk this is so damn heavy...I love how Randy fuked with his own solos like here in Mr Crowley, at one point he was a little off, but he knew how to get back in the zone. around 2:18 he carried his solo a bit in the offbeat but it's still killer...it sounds to me instead of him picking it great as u see from the after hours show sounds like a neoclassical solo that guys like yngwie, Vai, satriani would later be added to there playing style....RR was a big influence,

For a very long time now, I've been believing that the Osbournes have been holding out on releasing professional live recordings that had Randy on guitar, at least from the late '81 and '82 touring - when the set list changed to include Over The Mountain, since Diary Of A Madman had come out. But I'm starting to doubt that professional recordings even exist at this point.... I bought the box-set that came out in 2011 for the 30th anniversary of Blizzard or Diary (I really can't remember), and all the DVD included was the After Hours footage that has existed across the internet for years, and some scraps of private film recordings of 1982 shows that were not professionally recorded - NO not a full show, and the quality is equal to this or other youtube videos. Yes, as someone else pointed out, we'll take what we can get, but yeah, when the Osbournes have a chance to please their fans - and I mean give me a fucking break, the re-recordings of Ozzy's first two albums with the bass and drum tracks re-recorded in 2002 was the LEAST of my worries, since ANY hardcore fan such as myself could, and more than likely did, obtain copies of the long out of print 1995 remaster CD's - and instead simply blow it down a toilet drain, that was the biggest disappointment I had up until that point. And even the live CD that accompanied the set was just a "composite" of different recordings, with the SAME fucking track-listing as the 1987 Tribute album.
@Wagoo8 жыл бұрын
There's a proshot in black & white from New York with no audio (but there's separate soundboard audio so that doesn't matter).. the venue recorded all their gigs during that period.. and they were all sold off a bit ago, nobody seems sure what happened to all the recordings after the sale last I checked.. :( Two brothers have a fan shot whole gig, they recorded from the front row with 2 cameras.. and they've been holding onto it all this time presumably trying to negotiate the right price. They will probably die off and their kids will think it's trash and throw it away *sigh* Half tempted to pay stupid prices for a meet & greet with Ozzy to ask him about it, but I doubt he knows anything it'll all be handled by his company (Sharon). Actually we might be better off getting Jack to dig into things, since he seems interested in preserving the legacy as much as possible based on the recent roadtrip show where he took Ozzy under Iron Mountain.. Then there's Bob Daisley who has 5 hours of rehearsal audio from when they were working out songs "the grail", but any chance of getting that will be tied up in this current legal case getting resolved first (he also has recordings from BATM and The Ultimate Sin with Jake I'd love to hear..)

The Capitol Theater in Passaic, N.J. 1981 Blizzard tour; there is a concert pro shot with 3 (three) cameras recorded and the owner handed them to Sharon afterwards. The owner stated that he recorded most shows held there and Ozzy was one he definitely recorded. So yes there is pro footage of Ozzy and Randy on stage.I would bet that this concert above there is footage from Randy's angle.Just people and or including Sharon are sitting on it for now...

Where is all this Randy footage coming from?? Grainy or not, this is Awesome! And the quality isn't that bad! Considering that there hasn't been much to see of Randy WAILING, anything new is Bonus!! But speaking of not much to see of Randy Wailing... The camera man should be charged with crimes against humanity for shooting some of the only known footage of Randy in concert and Zooming in on Tommy Aldridge right when Randy starts Cranking the solo. Then pans over to Sarzo for a while... And, eventually decides to pan over to Randy just in time to catch the last 8 seconds of the solo... The entire time all you hear is Randy Rhoads SHREDDING off-camera... I just finished watching the Over The Mountain video from this same Jan. 7th show and he did similar to how he filmed this solo. But, not quite this bad. That would be pretty difficult. But still, it's bad enough. The Assistant Roadie's Intern could have shot better footage than this...
