I'm 66 years old. I've been playing guitar since I was 14. I've seen and heard thousands of guitar players and solos. This solo on Mr. Crowley is probably the best composed guitar solo I've ever heard. Every note is wired to the chord. The legato is so smooth, and the wild bend still blow me away, no matter how many times I've heard and played it. No matter how old or how good I get, I'll never get it to sound like Randy. But then, nobody can. He was one of a kind and we lost him all too soon like so many other great musicians who died much too young, going back to Buddy Holly.

Bob Daisley also has live recordings and videos of Randy... he's posted bits and pieces of the recordings on his website but also won't release what's called The Holy Grail. I know this is crazy but I'd rank Ozzy up there still as my favorite singer even at his age as he still sounds amazing. My favorite song that shows his range is a BS song called She's Gone.

It makes no sense. Bob Daisley confirmed this as well as he has what's called The Holy Grail... recordings and videos of Randy.. he's released bits and pieces of the recordings on his website but he also won't freakin release the Holy Grail... I'm pretty sure for monetary reasons from what I remember. But you'd think after all these years they'd all step back from the money and just let the fans have some great concert footage of Randy considering there's still so many millions of people who would love to see them. Sharon is a money hoarding piece of shit though and I don't know what her offer was to him.. I'm sure it was grossly undercutting him considering all she's ridiculously done to him. But still... I think he should at some point before it's too late... just do a dump of the whole lot either on his website or on KZbin and just give it to the masses so it could be copied before it'd be taken down. They all know how little there is of Randy to be seen. Sharon is definitely at most fault and I wish Ozzy had half a brain and some balls to tell her wtf she should do for the person who saved his career.. along with Bob and Lee of course. Chris and outside: Why do some people have to read eschatological interpretation into a decent and well meant comment?? Just enjoy a man's music and let it go at that

To act as if anyone knows the truth is a fools game, the only thing anyone knows is stories learned from one another passed down by all of mankind. Having a belief is like having an opinion, it's fine to have one but having it and believing in it does not make it absolute truth. Secondly nowhere in the bible does it state jesus went around criticizing people and persuading them to believe in him and his father. He shared his story and hoped those who would believe would follow. And those who did not he basically said good day too. It also states in the bible that a lady who was sick just believed if she could touch the hem of his garment would be healed, that same bible states jesus told her I have not healed you your faith has healed you. That's the power of true believing which we all possess. I wish you all the best in what you choose to believe in and wish you a good day. As long as your not doing others harm your good in my book. Carry on in your journey and remember you are not the programs or the words installed in your subconscious.

If Randy wouldn't had gotten on that plane almost 40 years ago, he would have been so amazed and proud of how much future guitarists who were and still are influenced by his style of playing. It still hurts me to this day that he is not around. He was such a very sweet ,laid-back, and lovable soul. May he continue to rest in peace!

Yeah, tragic. He was such an exceptional musician in the purest sense of it. I guess even the best of us have a little dumbass in us, and subsequently a few dumbass moments. Randy stepped onto that plane spontaneously to participate in doing divebombs on Ozzy Osbourne's trailer and this world suffers his loss. Oh well, he still left a lot behind for such a short life.

Only Randy could put a lifetime of heart, feeling, passion and musicianship in a single performance. Randy was the Mozart of metal.

I was in 10th grade then.. the music we had, from Ozzy to VH, AC/ DC to Waylon Jennings, Hank Jr, SRV and so many other killer bands.. this albulm blew everyone away with Randy's playing... sparking the debate of who was the greatest guitar player alive, him or Eddie 😮

I love how Ozzy just looks around at the end, like he’s just watching the show not the lead singer. You can tell he truly appreciates and is floored by the things They’re capable of, awesome to witness! And of course rest in power RR!

Just imagine, where Rock music would be right now if Randy would not have left us so early! A true talent and master of his craft. It's unbelievable that more people do not mention his play style. It's always Hendrix, Page, and Slash. Not to take anything away from any of those guys, but Randy was definitely on the same level if not higher! R.I.P brother
