When the mr freeze was being built they tested with dummies and all the dummies' necks snapped.

I grew up in Missouri when Mr. Freeze first came out and it left the building going forward. Superman was at the top of the tower standing there & then you would fall backwards. This was amazing and one of the best coasters from my childhood! We would drop a penny right when you started to fall and it would spin right beside you, with you gaining more speed than the penny. You fall faster than the penny and right as you make the curve at the bottom of the fall the penny would be about a second from hitting the ground (at that point you lost site of it). There were piles of pennies there. This coaster is great. Wish they would put one of these at Six Flags over Ga.

Awww, they filmed this after they remodeled the ride. 5 years ago, the ride use to start you out shooting your forwards, then you would come back in backwards. They had to switch the carts around because for years, the old way had caused too many injuries, with people getting too much whiplash and they had to close down the ride numerous times. The final straw was when someone broke their neck on that ride.

Yea i never went on it but i remember it used to shoot you forward which in my opinion would be better. Looking straight down on that tower would be scary

Justin Humenic Yeah it looks weird being shot this way. But I haven't heard any injuries happening since then, so I guess the new way must be better for people.

mya619 That never happened, there are no news reports of it and even if, Formula Rossa at Ferrari World in Dubai it goes 149.1mph in 4.0 seconds and nothing like that has ever happened. And even if somebody had their heads forwards on the launch their heads would just slam back against a padded seat, it would just cause a small shock of pain. They switched the trains around to make a more unique, exciting experience.

Elias Mertens As I said that happened years ago. I'm not sure ify ou live in Saint Louis, but if you look it up, I'm pretty sure there are tons of reports about it. People were getting whiplash coming back down, backwards. that's not gonna make your head hit the headrest. I never said this was from the launch pad.

There aren't even online articles or roller coaster new websites I read that say any accident that happened like that. And the ride was built in 1998, that's not a long time ago. And there are no similar reports of it's copy in Arlington, Texas.
