as great as these animations are for instilling thalassophobia fears in people with thalassophobia they don't make a whole lot of sense so I'm just spending the time going "why why why" instead of being spooked. Why would you abandon ship when the creature you're running from LITERALLY LIVES IN THE OCEAN. like you don't stand a better chance of escaping by jumping in the water. Why would you leave the cabin of a ship and go to the front of the deck when it's not raining? Is the clear glass somehow not clear enough? Why the hecc would a giant creature break of a piece of a rig just to throw it at some random boat and then ignore the rig to attack the boat guy instead of destroying the rig first.
