Have you been successful in hearing your camper with the golf cart heater since making this video? Safely?
@Hatch612 жыл бұрын
Yes, especially this time of year when it gets down in temperature at night. I don’t use it while sleeping to be safe. Thanks for watching.

Just FYI in case nobody has told you, the golf cart heater from mr heater says it’s for outdoor use, the little buddy says it’s safe for indoor and that it’s not to be used in golf carts, atv etc, the look the same to me but golf cart unit says it has a screen for the pilot so it doesn’t blow out, not sure if it has the CO automatic shut off

the golf cart heater has an oxygen depletion sensor according to the manual. that's the same device that lets all the other mr. buddies be used inside. none of the buddy heaters are catalytic like the wave heaters. anyone with sense would not use any buddy heater inside without a carbon monoxide detector and the windows open. but i see no difference between the build of the golf cart heater and the other buddy heaters to make the one unusable inside versus the others. i think it could be the cupholder shape of it, making it unsteady and not safe unless set in an actual cupholder?

Have you insulated your Runaway at all? How are you preventing condensation?

Just got mine today. I had a little buddy but this is just a bit smaller. Produces same amount of heat & used base I use for little buddy. It heated my bathroom from 66 F to 85 F in about 20 minutes just as a test. I will try to use this on the road since I haul travel trailers & sleep in my pick up truck this winter.

I wonder if that work work for my chickens if I put it in small wire cage to protect it. (and the chickens).

Moon Dancer Thanks for watching, I'm sure that it would work well, but I think that it would be very expensive if you are using the 1pound canisters.

Hi will this work to warm my car and unfog windows. My heater core is broken
@Hatch617 жыл бұрын
Depending on the size of your car interior, it could work. There are several car heaters available that plug into the cigarette lighter. I would try those first, it may be safer.

Cool little heater. Seems to work pretty well. I haven't heard many positive reviews on this, this was the first. Hope all is well.

It works okay, the fuel seems to be the weak link once it gets below 20 degrees. Thanks for watching Tim, and Happy New Year.

You can cook on this heater. Have a window cracked open at all times.

Hey Hatch, i like your videos, I've watched a bunch of them. Just a comment about carbon monoxide, i believe it is heavier than air, so it will build up inside of your camper at floor level first. This means your carbon monoxide detector should be mounted near the floor. I have just built a 4' X 8' mini camper, same size as yours and i will also be needing to find a way to provide some heat on a cool night. i might try one of those heaters, but with caution. Thanks, and have fun. :)

Thanks for watching, the detector that I use is a combination smoke / CO2 detector. The heater has its own safety shut off, and I always have the windows open. If I have access to power, I use a small ceramic heater which is more than enough. Take care.

carbon monoxide is lighter than air. detectors should be mounted ~5 feet up.

actually, carbon monoxide is slightly lighter than air and tends to rise with the heat, so mount your detector about 5 feet up. you might be thinking of propane, which is heavier than air, so propane detectors should be mounted low.
