Any breeze and it blows out... also the heat goes straight up into space, the dome doesn't radiate out to the sides hardly at all and tilting it 45 degrees has no noticeable effect. These reviews of this thing I'm finding where not very thorough. Inside a steel garage or barn or under a steel car port it probably works a lot better, but on a patio or out in the yard it doesn't do much except heat up the ISS a little maybe! Arghhhh! 😐

I bought one just days before this 2024 arctic blast here in Texas... I found it was pretty much useless outside in the yard. The problem is, without any kind of deflector above this thing the heat just goes straight up (even using the 45 degree tilt feature made no detectable difference, the only heat would be directly above the thing headed off towards space). Additionally, any breeze blows it right out! Arghhh! So I'm going to try and find a way to add a stainless steel deflector of some sort over the top of mine... just to get the heat to go out to the sides some. But I see no solution possible to it blowing out in a breeze.... it's like, only going to work in a dead calm basically. I'm finding the reviews on this thing were not done realistically! Note that inside of a steel barn or beneath a steel car port or something like that it probably heats better, as long as it doesn't blow out in a breeze... but out on a patio in the yard, it's useless the way it is. Just saying. 😕
