He managed to get away, how's that hard to believe? Ray and Dave had dollar signs in their eyes and Gaz missed. Shuffling in ankle cuffs sucks balls and his ankles would've been messed up afterwards but it's possible.

To me, that whole setup was NOT Ray-like. Even with Gaz as insurance, it'd be much easier to control with either one of them staying with the biker at the car, or bring the chained biker with them to either sit it out or help dig! I'm guessing the biker ended up plotting with Raf and Freddie to kill Dave & Ray later on. Dire consequences.
